What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

We got a rare couple of inches of sleet/snow today. Roads were a mix of lightly damp to icy and accumulations of sleet a couple inches deep. My wife drove the 4Runner home from work in these conditions and engaged the 4wd as soon as she left the parking lot at work. She didn't disengage till she got to the driveway at our house. She drove pretty slowly, but still the in places the roadways had no ice/sleet accumulation and were almost dry. She even turned a little on the way home.

The transfer case somehow didn't blow up under this abuse - just lucky I guess...

She did have the opportunity to use the front windshield electric heater and reported that it worked quite well.

Got delivery of a 2014 Lexus GX460...ordered in November and picked up today. Will share pics but premium model, knights armor, black interior...Replaces my '06 GX.

Wife is happy. Suddenly all my mod purchasing doesn't seem so extreme - have to quickly order a light bar now.

Also sent in Radflo 2.5 suspension (all four corners) to be rebuilt. 67lbs of suspension.
 
Snowboarding

Went to Stevens Pass, WA- today with my guys to go snowboarding. Extremely foggy. Pictures are prior to some really thick fog rolling in. Got a good 7 hours in anyway.

UPS is delayed - was supposed to receive my Hertz 3" midrange to complete my Hertz 3 way front stage. Supposed to be in the mid 60s temp wise this weekend, so ill get everything installed and tuned then.

You're the lucky one. I have friends that have been stranded on the highway for 19 hours in Atlanta. Unfortunately they got an inch of ice on the road with a little snow.

Love to hear how you like the EBC sport rotors and green pads...almost went that route with yellow pads. Ended up with stoptech drilled and slotted all 4 corners and ceramic posi-quiet pads...really like them! No more squeaking!

Ha we were up there Saturday for a first time snowshoe trip on Skyline Trail. It was a good time and it was sunny and clear that day. I love being up in the mountains, it's relaxing despite 1100 ft climb in 1.5 miles in snowshoes lol.

Good times. I heard this past weekend, as was all of last week really nice and sunny up there. Though, I've never seen anyone snowshoeing up there. Sounds interesting and if I'm honest, exhausting. But, I reckon the snowshoes are far -far easier than walking in snowboarding boots. Good times though, glad you had fun. How long did that trek take?

I'm looking forward to the upgrade, myself. I was debating on the Yellow Stuff as well but after reading and listening to the differences between the pads, I think I pieced together a kit which will fit my needs. Originally went with drilled and slotted but was told those weren't available so I went with the ones I have now.

About 50 minutes or so. The trail is over by the ski huts where ski patrol and such is on the north side. It's the last parking lot on the left heading east. The views were of all the slopes on the south side of Hwy 2. I'll have to post a picture up some time this week or something.

Standard load P - I have no use for an LT, mainly just dirt/gravel roads is as aggressive as we get. They do ride really nice on the highway at 70.
