What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Went to get the fiancee's winter tires mounted on her rims. Found out they only charge $26 to swap tires that are already mounted on rims. Much better than screwing around with the bottle jack in my garage for an hour or two.

JCP, I just had the same thing done. I have a question for you: did they use the same lugnuts that came off the oem wheels? When I bought my steelies, shorter lugnuts came with them. The oem lugnuts are longer, and have a washer on them such that they mate flat against the oem wheel surface. The nuts for the steelies have a slightly conical mating surface.

I forgot to take the conical ones with me, and the tire monkey used the oem ones. They do not fit right. These are the right ones (no washer).



FWIW, my steelies came with these little hub caps. They look better imo than the bare wheel hub. Obviously Toyota, but they have no part # on them.

I did use the same lugnuts that came off the 20" LE rims. The steelies came from the local Toyota dealership that were purchased by a former 2012 LE owner. I bought them used off him and he said the dealership said t was fine to use the same ones. Not sure if I should be using different ones or not and I do know what you mean about the washer. I had them this way last year and had zero issues, as I re-torqued on a few different occasions and nothing was "loose."

I can't take credit for this idea as numerous others have come before and posted their setups, thanks to all, what a great forum. You can search for those but this is what I did. Purchased two sheets of polycarbonate 9" wide heated one and bent 90 degrees. Attached that piece under battery mounting plate with 3m foam mounting tape. Cut a piano hinge to 9" width and attached to poly with number 8 stainless fasteners. Mounted Blue Sea fuse block 5026 plus Blue Sea fuse holder 5005 to poly. Drilled two holes in factory fuse cover and attached number 10 stainless bolts plus nylon lok nuts. First drilling I've done on my T4R now it's open season.

Had some extra time before the Hawks game so I plasti-dipped the lower bumper of my SR5. Found it a little difficult to get smooth lines as the bumper is one molded, but I found a way around it. Pics were taken while still drying, note the blotches.

so this fuse box has a connect for ground that then has one wire that goes to the ground?
