Went on a simple trail above Laughlin, NV. Had to stop and wait for a lizard to cross the road and saw trees near the pass that were decorated like Christmas.

DRLs

Low Beams

Low Beams/fogs

Low/fog/4" spots (they were supposed to be floods... Didn't notice until earlier today)

Low/fog/4"/24" combo light

Just the 4"/24" bars

Spent the day playing hooky from work installing the Daystar 2.5" F&R lift.... learned a lot about the 4Runner suspension in the process ha.... will say, KDSS was, using the guides and tips available here (especially eddiebx's great post!!), very simple to work with... just add a ratchet strap on the front drivers side with his instructions and it's a 5 minute job connecting front or rear by yourself.

Now, the other lessons learned weren't as easy, but the second side went much faster than the first, and the rear once I got the hang of it and removed enough brakeline/ABS wires wasn't too bad getting the springs in and out with the spacers.

Best advice, pick up a $15 small bottle jack! I used that on all four corners to either drop the LCA's enough or the rear axle to get the new taller parts in. Was running late, so didn't get a completed picture yet, but very happy with results! Will post completed pics later this week.

So, today my coworker comes in all freaked out saying her tire light came on. I checked the tire and it was less than 20psi. She really needs a new tire... But, told her to pull around to my truck and I'll fill it up with air so she can at least drive to a tire store close by...

Used my new ARB on-board air compressor. She razzed me a few weeks ago, "why would anyone want an air compressor in their truck." She promised never to make fun of my truck mods again... and now wants one in her truck...

I don't know what road we where on somewhere exploring in NV but we saw trees like that also, very funny.

Family and I were up there last week. I believe that trail is called Christmas pass. From Laughlin it will take you to the 95. I wanted to go through there but missed the cut off for that. So just ended up going up and over the hill to the 95.

Front and rear valence dipped

Today I plasti dipped my bumber valences. Not sure if this has been mentioned before but a real easy way to make clean lines is to insert a stiff piece of paper in the small space between the bumber and the valence. I used stiff glossy magazine covers. They were quite tricky to slide in but made for very clean lines.

My first project was replacing my stock TEP wheels with TRD pro wheels in matte black. I know they are only 7 vs 7.5 inches but I think I will only go as far as 275s in the future. One advantage is they are a few pounds lighter per wheel and they always look clean.

Jack stands are even cheaper! That looks like an accident waiting to happen.
