Updated the maps (2013 maps, still looking for free 2105+) on my Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT (old I know) and the update also updated the firmware from 2.003 to 5.0.
The 2.003 update had a Bluetooth (BT) update that stopped the BT from working... Some people end up thinking the BT card stopped working and replaced the card ($80). Luckily with the 5.0 update has the BT firmware update included which fixed the issue.

I know the feeling. Today will be the last day of my Houston > Colorado > Houston road trip. Between new Mexico and Dallas I thought it was raining. Just bugs. Between the bug guts, snow slush, and mud, I'm thinking this will take more than a half hour!
I need one of those again!

They are hard to get w/o getting gouged.
I was fortunate and got it at a decent price, but more than I would have paid if my dealer could have rec'd one from his distributor.
Local distributors cannot get any, they keep telling him they could come in any day.
Now to get my optics for it that will do it justice!

Happy May Day--or, um, Merry Christmas?--from Colorado. Took the T4R on a campout for the first time. Great Sand Dunes National Park.
Sure, it snowed a little. But if we are going to wait for no snow this year before camping, then apparently we are going to wait for a very long time.
But we did have some shining moments.
Truck did great. Maybe some day we'll return when the snow is gone (if?) and try the Madano Pass Primitive Road that threads the needle between the Dunes (the tallest in North America) and the adjacent 14ers.

How do you like the ko2's in the snow. Before I sold my Tacoma and left the Tacoma forum it seemed most feed back on snow use was pretty positive.
I'm on my second set. Bought my first set 15 months ago for my Tacoma soon after they launched and put 8,000 miles on them. Now I have 500 miles on my second set on my 4runner. Where I'm at on road, hardpack,dirt, sand and silt they do extremely well.

Didn't like the chrome tip anymore since everything else is blacked out. Sanded shine off of the chrome. Sprayed with etching primer and then finished up with SEM 39143 Trim Black. Even washed the truck when I was done =)

I've only had them for a month, but in that time used them in 2 major snowstorms this spring--18+ inches of heavy, wet, tree-snapping snow. So I'm not sure I can say that much. But they do seem to do quite well in those conditions so far. I had to hit the brakes real hard at 30mph when someone slid out of a side street in front of me, and I was amazed how smoothly and quickly they stopped the truck. Both passengers with me actually gasped, and then when we stopped short of the other car said, "Oh, good job then."
