Rainy Day

Decided to make use of the time and do an oil & filter change plus tire rotation. Went to the shop, got too organized with my cart, then tried to start the T4 to warm it up. No lights, no start, no gauges. Even the interior LEDs were dark. The power seat groaned a little. Voltmeter showed 5.7. Four years and one month on the OEM battery, not bad. Going to get a Sears Platnium AGM today and put all the crap in the cart away for a while. Did not even want a cart, my son talked me into it.

Spent all last week meandering State and National forests of upper 1/3 of Wisconsin for our Leaf Tour. What a beautiful state.

The 4R is such a great road trip vehicle. We'll probably drive to Key West this Feb. Cruise Control still sucks a big one.

On topic, my ARB compressor mount was delivered, and... my wife drove it to work to get a small chip/crack repaired, I'm out of state visiting family and doing some mtn biking. She called me to ask how to find how many miles I had on it as she couldn't figure out what to do, to be fair the scan gauge confuses everyone. Some stuff to work on this weekend though!

Scored a nice set of TE wheels, dropping them off at the powdercoater tomorrow to have them done in matte black

Dropped off my 4Runner for the big 3 and DC Power Engineering alternator upgrade at a reputable professional car audio place.
Rented a Chevy Malibu to get home and run errands until it's done, what a POS! Interior feels incredibly cheap and plasticy compared to 4Runner. I also feel like I'm riding with my behind on the asphalt, and can't see crap out of those tiny little mirrors. I can't believe people pay $32k+ for the fancier versions of this thing; it honestly feels on par with a cheap Hyundai and worse than a Corolla.

Lightforce 240 Blitz on a shiny new Addicted Offroad bumper. Still have to mock up the Rigid flush mount DS2 fogs and A-Series drls, and find homes for the ballasts for the 240's, line resistors to keep the A-Series from hyperflashing, relocate the wireless remote for the winch, and fab up a new mounting plate for the Blue Sea charging relay which is at the heart of my dual battery system. lots of work to do still, maybe its not so bad being laid off for a bit!
