What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Yah they are little under 33 when installed. I will measure it again. On 34.10.5r17, depending on your lift height, you might be able to get away from doing a BMC. You are only getting a 10.5 inch wide tire vs 11.3 on the 285s. 285/75/17 is better in my opinion.

Thank you I’ll go that route when I replace my current set :yo:

Finally leveled it out and got my control arms on the other day. Next it goes to the body for mild repair and body chop mod.

Icon Stage 7 Lift in progress

I've been working on the ICON stage 7 tubular lift for a few days now. I'm almost done. Today I lowered the axle to add ICON 2" lift springs. Then I lifted the back axle slightly to get the extended travel rear shocks into the top mount.

To learn how to do this myself I watched a few YouTube videos. I'm reading all the ICON instructions and a thread by @eddibx as I go. ICON gives you instructions for each part but no order of operation for the entire system - or which part goes on first.

Thanks for the great write up Eddie.

Now, seeing how easy it was to pull the springs out, I can't figure out what holds the axle up to the frame when the wheels droop in an off-road situation or you catch a little air on the road. Is it the shock?

I don't like where the rear shock remote reservoir is to be mounted - on the frame behind the fender liner. You can't very well reach the adjuster knob. Going to mount them tomorrow morning.

Does anyone have comments or suggestions for the last two points above.

I have a few details to finish tomorrow and then I'm done. Track bar to be replaced too.

Somehow I got 4" to 5" of lift in front from coil-over shocks that were intended to provide 2&1/2" to 3" of lift. Hoping it will settle down because I don't want 5" of lift. I did adjust the spring cap down to nearly the max recommending setting, moving it 1/2" down from the ICON factory setting of 1&1/2".

I installed my SSO Slim Line front bumper. Pretty straight forward install, seems very solid. Winch will go on in spring after all the salt on the streets is washed away.

Got my RCI skid package installed last night, also got cooper A/T3 tires on.
Can someone please guide me on how to post pics on this forum.
I find it easiest if you get the Tapatalk app on your phone. Then you can upload your pics directly from the phone.

Break the shock, lose the spring.
Sounds like you need to adjust your coilovers. I doubt they will settle 2inches.

Day trip to the local mountains for a snow day yesterday. Went to the Hoodoo Ski area.
