You planning cut the ends off the RTT rail? A simple hacksaw can cut right through that aluminum no problem.

Not gonna jack them off yet, never thought about it but it seems like a good idea, I’m gonna get a front runner slime line with the quick detach though because this thing is basically a semi-permanent mod because it’s hell to on and off solo with the factory bars

Me too. When I called asking for a "special order", the lady knew I wanted red stitching on black material for a T4R. It's the only special request they get.

Son of a... wish I thought of that! Although I went with grey because my dogs hair will show too much with black. The grey looks good, I think.

FJ Summit and Gobi Install

First time visiting Ouray/Telluride during FJ Summit was a blast. And say what you will about Gobi as a company...they make an incredible rack. Scoured classifieds for four months and finally found a like-new 5 month old rack for $700 less than new on ebay of all places.

What kind of paint are you using? I’m doing the same thing. I’m using krylon appliance epoxy (black) and it’s turning out great!

I’m using Rustoleum Flat Black Enamel and it turned out really nice. Way better than I expected with a rattle job!

Remote control windows down

I spent $10 (well... $9.99) on iTunes to get Carista app to change few settings: windows down from remote control, removed the annoying seatbelt ding-ding-ding, changed rear wiper retrieve from 3sec to 2sec.

I made some stickers for it the other day, and today I ordered all the things. Rear coils, new top hats for TRD FJ Cruiser suspense, Raingler Celine net, Baja Squadron LED fogs, LED headlights, and a couple new bottles of detailing supplies.

I haven't changed the rear wiper interval yet since we haven't had any rain since I got it, but made the other changes. Seems like a lot of people want to shorten that interval ... wondering if I should just do it before my trial lapses.

Another thing I want to do is modify the rear wiper left limit swipe. It drives me banana that it stops and wipes only 2/3 of the rear window.
Has anyone done this change?

285, stock suspension, zero lift. Rubbed the inner lower edge of the front bumper skin at full lock in reverse. Lifted it 3" and still rubbed the exact same spot, had to trim it either way. I'm now on a 295 which I actually prefer over the 285 immensely.

Got my Gobi ladder installed. It took 4 months to arrive.

For just the ladder? That's ridiculous. But I love it.

Took this rear endlink idea from the 4th gen forum, it so far seems as it would fit fine. The overall cost was great, I went to Ace Hardware and Autozone for parts, here after dinner I’ll get to trying out one side for install, particularly the driver side since the gas tank is there. One thing I am noticing is the length of the endlinks might be a problem so they might need to be shortened a little which is a easy fix. Ghetto, yes but it fits and I’ll report soon with any change of feel since it will preload the sway bar more as the links are about 1” longer but would allow a little more flex over stock.

I also got the remaining fititings for my rear mounted air manifold, the manifold will have 3/8” air brake line fed from a 1 gallon seamless air tank mounted under the 4x4labs arb compressor mount in the front.
