Overland bound rebadge

So I debadged the sr5 and replaced it with overland bound badges, think it’s better than sr5 not as cool as imitating a Trd Pro, like the debadged look but we’ll see if I keep the overlands or swap

I think the OB badges are a good idea. They stick out because they’re somewhat unique, but immediately identifiable to the crowd you’re a part of.

Replaced front differential and transfer case fluid today. Will do rear differential tomorrow or next weekend hopefully. Just passed 98,000 miles and the front differential and transfer case have never been changed, rear was changed by me at about 45,000 miles, so it's time for all three.

Fluid looked great in both and I'm sure they could keep going much further, but a lot of paste was on the magnet in the front differential. Breaker bar was needed to get all the fill and drain plugs off, especially the front differential drain plug. Holy hell that thing was practically welded on. Used Royal Purple Synchromax in the transfer case. It's listed as a substitute for the $55/qt. Toyota 75w fluid the transfer case calls for and is a lot less expensive. Needed a little over a quart.

I Used Redline synthetic 75w85 in the front differential and I used it in the rear differential back at 45,000 miles. I was able to fill the transfer case directly from the bottle with just a short length of tubing on the nozzle. For the front differential, you'll absolutely need a pump. There's no room to lift the bottle up. I don't know what the dealerships charge for these services, but my total cost for fluids and gaskets was right around $100, so you're almost certainly saving money, as I assume it's at least $100 per, and you're getting the correct fluids in each case rather than just 75w90 in everything.

That’s exactly what I was feeling, I love the Trd Pros and build my T4R to be capable (more so than stock trds) but it’s just too much to get the Trd Pro badges, I’ll stick with no badges or something different like overland bound!

Did it come w/ the black TRD inserts or did you add that? It thought the '19 came w/ decals inserted, not whatever that is . Rubber? And I thought it came in red...

Ham Radio Install

After previously running power on the drivers side for my CB... Today I ran power on the passenger side for my Ham. Both radio units will be under the respective seats. In my Land Rover I mounted the units in the rear but found them to either be in the way or taking up needed space. So this time I thought Id try something new. However.... the Ram mount foot that worked in the Rover will not fit with the 4Runner trim cover. So I ordered a newer longer version to try out. Also waiting on some sticky mag mounts for the mics. Will post pics of the setup when the mounts come in. In the meantime.
