We roll the back window down part of the way and our dog loves that. I guess I’m not willing for slobber and hair all over, much less when he’s muddy or wet.

Hog Hunting

I'm guessing your 350 is on the AR platform? I have a 450 Bushmaster that I really enjoy, it's amazingly accurate and recoil isn't bad at all. The 350 Legend is interesting, the ballistics are much like the good old 35 Remington which my very first rifle was chambered in.

Yes, the 350 is on an AR platform with a Vortex scope and Holosun on 45 offset. Works pretty nice. Hydraulic buffer feels great too for follow-up shots as well.

OEM Heritage Grille fitment

So I installed an OEM TRD Pro grille today but the thing is it has a big gap. Did I do something wrong? Maybe missed aligned it? Is there anyway to remove and readjust, I'm sure I installed it way to much to the left or didn't push fully in.

Has anyone ever had this experience, 22 TRD ORP btw.

That's what I'm saying, I'm going to attempt to take it off this weekend. I'm hoping a certain Toyota dealership isn't selling reps. I really just think I didn't push it in far enough. I saw someone mention spraying windex to adjust/slide the piece around. Will try that when re-installing

Installed the ARB skid plates this evening. I painted them with Rustoleum bedliner... I just didn't care for the light gray, besides it makes them easier to touch up if I so choose.

Custom bracket

yes grab handle! Sorry for the 2017 annotation confusion but no 5th GEN comes with an A-pillar grab handle:

I Purchased a passenger side grab handle and the the two covers over the bolt mounting holes.

I fabricated a custom bracket for the BOTTOM hole as the top hole i used the existing bolt hole that is hiding under the "SRS CURTAIN AIRBAG" pop out. the top hole has a bracket that is the same build quality as the passenger side brackets - as if toyota may have intended to install a grab handle but decided not to. the space is there for mounting a custom bracket for the bottom hole. no issue with space at all.

Top bolt:
1. I had to install a metal spacer because a gap is formed between the handle and the top bolt mount surface hiding under the "SRS CURTAIN AIRBAG" pop out plug.

2. longer bolt of course M6x1.0x35mm

Bottom Bolt:
1. 5/16 - 18 x 2 inch long bolt with washer.

2. custom bracket mounted to the A pillar structure.

3. drilled hole and modifed the A piller trim interior plastic "CLIP" that helps hold the A pillar trim in.

Finished:
outcome is awesome! very oem clean install - exactly what everyone seems to complain about online and all these "top 5 things i hate about my 4runner youtube videos"

Ill post more pics and a stand alone thread later. as the bracket i designed is very basic and works just fine for an unseen bracket.

What does the custom bracket you made look like? I take it toyota has some other way of mounting the passenger side grab handle, or do they sell the bracket for the passenger side too? Are you making -selling the brackets? I can usually jigsaw puzzle stuff together, but fabrication is a no no for me. I know my limitations.

Added a JLT catch can. I'm not expecting much in returns but it was fairly cheap. Later when I supercharge, it will keep oil gunk out of the intercooler.

You might be surprised at what you find in there. I installed mine when my 4Runner was new. I change my oil every 5K miles which is about once a year and my can is about full every time. 90% water, condensation, 10% oil give or take. Either way, it's nasty and I'm glad it's not in my intake.

I already saw that it was capturing some oil mist. Unfortunately here in Derpifornia, it's not smog legal.
