Upcoming road trip so I finally finished the platform to accommodate my fridge and slide I built for it. And since I had the space under the platform, I added a little pull out shelf with some stainless steel on top I can use to cut foods on. Got the platform idea from user turbodb on here and adapted it for my needs.

Looks great! Any dimensions or underbody pictures of how the bottom supports look like? Is the whole board now flush with the rear seats when folded down?

Getting ready to pull a u-haul trailer across the country and not looking forward to it...

I feel you...about to go from Tampa, FL back to Texas. Not completely across but 1200 miles! Pulling one 4runner with another 4runner and driving a uhaul truck as well. FUN :loco:!!! Good luck and be safe!

The platform is 40"x43" and when the seats are down they are level with the platform. This is the thread I got the idea from which has some good pics:

Well....yesterday I drove it home. :tongue:

Today I took it up a mountain, after switching out the tires for KM3's, removing the running boards, and removing the hood protector.

Last night I ordered a Victory 4x4 roof rack and twin jerrycan holder to go with my Pelican case and water/ gas cans. I'm concerned for the health of my bank account...the future does not look bright. :bounce:

Their estimated lead times put sliders and bumpers at 2-3 months. They say roof racks are 5-15 days. I'm really hoping they get out soon, I'd like to use it for an upcoming road trip in a few weeks.

Looking good. I added a hood protector - I think they are well worth having! Wish I would have put it on long ago and saved a few rock chips and 3 cracked windshields!

Yesterday towed boat to lake, easy in/out @ ramp. On way home trailer tire blow out. 4Runner jack worked great ,my problem is I have the spare from 2008 Four Winns & I never thought to check lug pattern :noidea::redface: My buddy brought his spare that fit. He's headed to Hatfield/McCoys tomorrow & said he won't go W/out spare. Told him take my good spare & blown out tire , put my spare on that rim & just take it as spare. He has a tire machine in his pole barn. His spare is really scary BUT it got us home! Boat trailer new in 2017. Gonna order 2 new tires & a spare 15x5 5x4.5 lug wheel.
