I've done a ton of work on my front suspension during the month of April, and leading into May. Check out my build thread for pics!
Today, I did some extended rear stabilizer links and coupled them with Polyurethane bushings!

What are those for? Oh yeah, I forgot some people still run sway bars!:rockthrow:
Yesterday I got home from a run to Lowe's and smelled something nasty. My passenger rear wheel was putting off so much heat I could cook breakfast on it. So I thought worst case I trashed another wheel cylinder. After an HOUR
thanks:F'n drum brakes) I got the drum off but in the process broke it in three places. Adjuster refused to back off and using the two inner threaded holes didn't help at all. I gave up and resorted to the idea of new drums and brought out the BFH:whipping2. Ends up my less than a year old bearing as $hit out on me. So I got new drums, shoes, brake hardware kit and axle seals. Tomorrow will be fun. Also gonna do brakes, plugs and wires on my buddies CTSV. The wife's stock Forester XT still spanks it through 1st and 2nd haha!
I'll probably get new wheel cylinders while I'm at it. I hate drum brakes!:redbrick:

Jon, I keep my sway bar because I use it as a kid mover... I rarely wheel it. It handles the corners a lot better, and generally feels alot tighter, than running it without.
As for the drum brakes, why don't you do what Rockdawg has done, and do a Rear Disc conversion???

Definitely more stable, good call. I'll do disks one day. I'll have to do more research. It's always harder than it sounds.

During my weekly detail noticed that the carpet was wet under my drivers side floor mat...
Parked it outside in the rain for the first time this week during a pretty rainy night, so it could be that the sunroof drains are clogged, hoping it's just from getting in and out with soaking shoes and having the door open during rain.
Dried it up to avoid mold/mildew, waiting to see if it comes back.
Thursday I replaced my K&N air filter with an AFE Dry filter.
Parked it outside in the rain for the first time this week during a pretty rainy night, so it could be that the sunroof drains are clogged, hoping it's just from getting in and out with soaking shoes and having the door open during rain.
Dried it up to avoid mold/mildew, waiting to see if it comes back.

WEIRD!
My driver's floor mat has also been very damp lately... I put a towel between the carpet and mat.
I dont even have a sunroof so I'm clueless... nothing else appears to be wet.
Let us know if you find out why it's doing that

Had the same problem. Tried snaking the drains with weed eater twine, and safety wire, tried using compressed air, and blew the rubber hose off the sunroof drain :redbrick:. After undoing the headliner I was able to get to the rubber hose and blew it out. BTW- I heard pouring a little hydrogen peroxide down the drains may help clear up the blockage.

Interesting... I take it that worked...? I tried running wire down my 2 front drains and was able to get almost exactly 3ft of wire into both of them before it stopped...
I don't think the front drains are my issue since when I park outside in the rain, typically I am on flat ground... The night I left it outside it was right outside my garage, which is on an incline... That's the only reason I can think it would have never happened before.
I'll look into it more after my vacation next week. :reddance:

yep i got my 1st gen roll bar mod done but i was wondering what you used for your hi lift mount?

here's mine, i chopped the original feet up front and used the plasma to cut up new ones. i still havent secured 100%. will be doing that later today. as far as how the hi-lift is mounted . . . weld a blot on, and get a nut and washer to secure with. pretty straight forward.
oh, and the coozie w/ zip-ties is so my dog wont get hurt on the T-handle that was welded to the bolt to secure the front of the hi-lift

how did you fix the steering rattle?^^ Mine does it whenever i go off road and it's freaking annoying!
