Washed it

I've been working on a couple of projects, but both need completing, before I let the cat out of the bag!

I can say, that while waiting around, I decided to wash all the Winter Funk off my truck!

Should have cleaned the tires a little I guess... lol! I should be updating this with an actual mod tomorrow night..... I hope!

Not sure if I want to pull the chrome strips off mine yet.

It looks like those strips are incorporated into the styling of the running boards, which might leave a weird gap/stopping point if you pull them off. Have you thought about maybe plasticdip'n them to make them all black? This way they sorta disappear (as I can certainly understand why you're trying to make the shiny things go away), but its always reversable if you decide it doesn't have the effect you thought it would.

Got my 8 wrap LC coils from Durrell that were originally Sn0wrunner's and got my new OEM LC shocks now just waiting for my fronts toytec coilovers with bilstein 5100's and my 2" BL to come in then UP UP I go!! also installed SCII! :reddance:

Just ordered some BAMF sliders! It's a local guy who specializes in Tacoma's, but will building me the first 4runner set. I'm pumped right now because I got in on a group buy and saved 20%. He said he is willing to extend his service to the 4runner world once he gets mine mocked up and all set up.

Took her to the shop for some PM. Transmission fluid change along with filter. Asked them to pump some grease into the driveshaft yolks also.

Very productive day today. Got my front rotors resurfaced for 16 bucks. While I had them off though I noticed my front passenger sway bar link was snapped clean off. Got both sides replaced from autozone and the car handles much better now. Feels a lot more stable.

Also bought a bunch of supplies to start repainting my grille and emblems. Decided to keep it in the Toyota color family and went with Graphite Metallic (I think thats the color). Going to paint the grille tomorrow.

Rerouted the TRD Trans Cooler lines and ended up covered in a couple quarts of ATF. Then I remembered I had to be at a meeting at work, and the ATF smell is pretty persistent :biggrin2:

It is the Satoshi mod.... at least my take on it. Won't be anything crazy original or anything, but should look ok.

I had to shop around today looking for proper mesh material to use! It's a long story, but after 5 Home Improvement stores, I finally found what I was looking for! I'll save the long story for my build thread....stay tuned, as tomorrow it's gonna get posted!

BTW, for all of you guys wondering why the heck I splatter my bumpers, lower body panels with WD40 and my undercarriage with Motor oil.... here's a pic of a similar aged 4Runner I came across today on the road....

Notice the rust on the rear passenger bumper end???

That's right.... Swiss Cheese!

today i took it in to get an oil change and also replaced the air filter. nothing too exciting. my CEL came on and pulled P0420. i reset the ECU... hopefully my truck was just confused.
