Installed my new wheels and tires yesterday. Level 8 MK6 with hankook dynapro 265/75/16. No center caps yet waiting for my TRD stickers from Tronner to install them. Look great and ride smooth.

Had the windows tinted today, 20% looks a lot darker than I expected, I'm happy with it though!

Just ordered all the dreaded steering tie rods and looking for the new guide for the rack. Got to get this sloppy steering cleaned up before the Mint 400!

Replace:
Inner & Outer Tie Rods
Lower Ball Joints
Steering Rack Guide (upgrade to new style)

Purchase;

(2) 265-75-16 General Grabber Red Labels
Quality alignment from prerunner specialists here in san Diego. True line specialize in lifted and Long Travel alignments.

So, I got to do all that, plus get these bills paid, and make it to Vegas next month AND pay dam registration. At least I don't have to smog, and its only $84 wheew!

Why no rack bushings? Seems to me that if your guide needs to be replaced then your bushings are probably due as well. Cheap fix too!

I already put a brand new set of total chaos rack bushings last month.

Swapped on some LX450 wheels. Picked up the set of 5 for $100.

Summer tires back on...replaced antifeeze with new "Amber" Peak Universal antifreeze. LOL...it really is not yellow, orange, or green, but actually a totally different color. That will mess with people....LOL.

New pads and rotors went on. Stupid caliper pins wouldn't come out, so I had to cut it in half with a dremel and hit it out. Bought new ones for 5.99 at autozone.

Pads are Hawk hps, $62 on amazon. I love these. I've used them on other vehicles.

Rotors are powerstop drilled and slotted. A favorite on rockauto. $44 each.

Well did the deed. Traded in the 2001 Escape for a 2001 4Runner SR5. 170k on the Odo. Got a good deal as it looks well cared for and minimal wear and tear.

Of course had to drive home via the unplowed ski mountain roads just because!

FINALLY found someone in the southern Alberta area parting out a 4runner. So I got a new driver fender, center console A/C vents, clock (even though it's broken I gave him 5 bucks for it) and inner fender liner for 55 dollars CAD. Or like 38 bucks American for all you guys lol! Toyoyta quoted me 250$ just for the fender liner, so I'm quiet happy with my find! Turns out the guy gave his son the 4runner as a 16th birthday present and the kid crashed it weeks later. So all in all this worked out well for me.

Now I just need to fix the clock...

Totally agree! The bushings are done on a vehicle of our vintage!! The bushings were the first thing I changed on my list (same as his).

OOPS! Just spotted your reply: already done! Well, great minds think alike! I did all of the above last Fall.... my truck only had 140K mi, but it was needed!
