What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

We have the M/S^2 (Why they went down in numbers I have no idea) on them right now, they are 9 years old, with uneven tire ware at 2mm on part of the tire. Our 4th gen also has them, and they are awesome. To be honest I've never driven a 4runner without them I wonder what it would be like to drivewithout them.

Also I wonder what the 3rd gen would feel like after these new pair of shoes considering how beat up the old ones are. ill report back in a week or so

I know what you mean. I removed those same goofy flares this last summer. I have a few spots that need sanding, priming, and painting. But I am not interested in keeping those flares as they don't really do much, at least not anything like SR5 or Limited flares. I think they look better off. I am just waiting to do my hack touch up job when it stops raining long enough to do so. And around here, that could be a while.

Good call! I worked in the rigging field for awhile and its crazy how strict the guidelines are on suspect counterfeit shackles and straps. After seeing a few accidents I'll only use reliable products.

Yep, I learned to never use suspect parts after rigging cranes first hand on a couple of my projects

Finished the bag assembly. Packed too tight with an 8k hand winch, 30' snatch strap, 30' recovery strap, 8' tree saver, assorted shackles, open hook, leather gloves and a small pair of channel locks

this week I made this. I bought the plan from Bandit Runner and everything is perfect. Got the parts cut by a local shop and it took me and my buddy 10 hours to put it together and sand. Next step: sand blast and powder coat flat black.

That turned out great! Can't wait to see it all painted up.

did a complete trans fluid flush and new airfilter, as well at did a seafoam spray TB/intake cleanse...
tomorrow is gonna be a long day doing valvecover gaskets, cam plugs, washer seals, spark tubes, spark plugs and wires, pvc valve and gromet...ill also clean up the TB while its off as well as the valve covers and the intake...cant wait for a cleaner engine with no oil leaks!

Had a few boxes of parts show up today so Im taking it to the shop tomorrow to service and do my rear brakes and replace my bellcranks for the parking brake so hopefully itll work after that. My 231's should be in tomorrow but that'll get done next weekend because my spacers wont be in until next friday. Also need to do brakes on my trailblazer and a service on that too. Should be a fun day tomorrow.

This just happened today. This is a replacement gauge cluster, so actual mileage is really closer to 350k!

I finally got my tires and put them on the FJ wheels that I powder coated. 265/70-17 Falken WildPeak AT3W with a cobbled together lift of seriously mismatched parts. Looks OK, but everything needs a deep clean...and a front bumper. The color combo will make a lot more sense when I get a few more parts in and installed.

what a long day....valve cover gaskets, spark plub tubes, washer seals,cam plugs, spark plugs, wires,
pcv valve/grommet, upper/lower intake plenum gaskets...cleaned up the valve covers as best i could
and the TB...previous owner had crappy autolite single electrode plugs...runs nice now and no leaks so
far! 7 hours later im beat!
