Failed CA smog due to readiness monitors not complete, even after 1 week & 175 miles of driving! :redbrick: The readiness monitor requirements are finicky little shits.

I'm sure you've done it already but search the site for "smog". That'll keep you busy for a while. My rig was smogged by the PO before I purchased it. I live in a smog once county so I hopefully will never have to deal with this. lol

Get a basic ODB2 code scanner. After you reset the ECM or clear codes you'll see the test indicators flashing she they wait for results. Once they are all solid and lit you're good to go, assuming no codes were thrown.

175 miles is a lot. Mine are usually all in after about 120 miles.

I have a Bluetooth OBD2 and Engine Link App for iPhone, and unfortunately it doesn't display these monitors. I was aware of the monitors but figured
a week of daily driving 35 miles round trip city & highway mixed would be sufficient, but I was unpleasantly surprised today!

I have a parts store CanOBD2 scanner, it was $30 IIRC.

I'm driving 500 miles right now. I'll reset my ECM and let you know how many miles it takes for all monitors to report. For grins and giggles.

Just tested my "miles to all monitors reported"

All but one by 130 miles, last one at around 165

Thanks for the shits & giggles, it's a shame that wasn't my experience! I put in a new upstream a/f sensor before that 175 miles I did this week, so maybe that has something to do with the delay.

Gave her a bath and seafoam'd it. Feels a little more responsive, but that could be placebo. Used the seafoam spray and put a can in a quarter tank.

I noticed that some of the spray dripped down the wrong way and into the airbox. The bottom corner of the air filter is pretty wet, I wonder if that would damage the filter... or maybe if the fumes might damage the MAF. Any opinions?

You should be fine, but if you're concerned, clean the MAF properly and replace the filter.

I do Seafoam one or twice a year per the instructions on the bottle. Good stuff.

Yesterday installed all new injectors. Runs really nice now.

Noticed a new issue though. If reversing slowly all is good. But if I give a little gas I get a clunking/jarring vibration quite badly. Any thoughts? I'm going to grease up the driveshaft but I've never noticed this before. Truck sat for a couple weeks waiting on the injectors to be done. No issues driving forward.

I gave her a bath, swapped out my winter wheels for the crummy Kellys that are on my summer wheels, and pulled the running boards! I found a neat tag on the running boards though, CDM Spec!

Also time to get the other, other set of wheels going too...

Not sure where to ask this

I am putting on a three in lift on my 3rd Gen. I am looking to run 285/70/17's factory offset is a positive 15. I want to know what offset to order my new wheels in?
