Once I had a second blower fan from the parts truck as a backup, I was able to get one apart (and back together) too. Welcome to the exclusive club!

Took off the “bonus” drivers side oh-sh** handle (not the one on the a pillar). All I ever did was hit my head on it!!

Picked up a 300watt inverter from an estate sale. Tested and working (hello "rapidly charging" my old friend). Now I just have to decide where to put it and how permanently.
 
Got my rear driveshaft back again and noticed that the shop managed to break off the angled grease fitting on the middle of the DC joint and put a regular straight stubby one in it's place. No way will a grease gun fit in there. I pointed it out and was told that I'd have to remove the DS to grease it, they couldn't locate a proper grease fitting. I *****ed about their ineptness, they didn't charge me for the install of the OEM rear u joint that I supplied or to rebalance the DS.

I stopped off at an ACE hardware and found a 45° fine pitch metric grease fitting that worked good enough. They forced a course threaded fitting into the hole and jacked up the threads so I was just happy to get a new fitting to go in and tighten down. What the hell ever happened to customer service/ quality work ??
 
pulled the starter to replace the contacts as I got stranded earlier in the week with the ever popular "turn key one click no go". But i received the wrong contacts, so on the shelf the starter goes until they send the replacements. 100 series for me this week I suppose.

Side note: as you can see the starter, (as most things under the truck), is corroded as hell. Not rusty, just crusty. Breaks my heart when I see most metal parts under the truck crusty and corroded, considering the frame is solid as an ox with minor surface rust on the welds. Anyone got any ideas to tame the crustiness?
 
Smoked out a set of 96-00 tail lights. Took me two times to get the correct shade. Ended up with 2 light coats and 8 coats of clear.

Well I needed to give my Runner it’s first oil change since I bought it, and I decided that none other than my girlfriend should do it because she needs to learn how. So I gave her a YouTube video and sent her on her way. Turns out either I’ve been spoiled with vehicles that are easy to change oil on, or an oil change on these trucks is a *****. I had to end up doing it in the end.
 
Clear marker and bumper lights! (sorry for the bug splats all over the place, I just came back from a road trip).
