All the big items are back on the 4Runner. Now I am just waiting for Friday so I can load up and get out of town. I am looking forward to a week in Big Bend Ranch.

Drove it over 2000 miles this week. CA to Ohio so far.

Last night I installed the last of three new StopTech stainless braided brake lines to complete the install phase of my TBU. Just have to flush and bleed the brake system later today after swapping out the old rear bleeder screws which look suspicious.

Cold and snowing yesterday, worked on mating surfaces and getting rid of a ton of dirt on the intake manifold on the dining room table. Don't tell the me of the house!
There was a little degraded rubber goop in the injector seats and a whole lot of dirt.
Progress is good. Getting the injectors tested/rebuilt while everything is apart?

Don't tell yourself about cleaning parts in the dishwasher or opening headlights in the oven either.

Thanks for the reminder!
Sent them out to Witch Hunter after checking resistance was good- all tested good with them, all now better matched and have new rubber bits. The screens had a little grit in them, not bad for almost 23 years. I'm also replacing any fuel lines, the 6 rail o-rings, and some of those pesky vacuum lines on the manifold while the getting is good.
I am definitely not telling myself any of that, or of the ring gear in the oven, the flywheel and various seals in the freezer either!
Getting tired of tripping over heads, Friday is supposed to be 51 degrees and not wet (so far) so that's my target day to get those back on the block. Hoping the snow melts off the truck soon.

Just through Ohio. Arrived last night in Connecticut. Long drive but no trouble except for almost running out of gas in NM.
is that your finish line? or are you still heading east/north?

Finish line. I think it was about 2800 miles. Except for the gas milage it was good. A little sluggish on the really big inclines out west but over all pretty good ride.
I don’t know how tough the trail really is but the first “climb” alone seems rough. Picture doesn’t show the dip over that first step
