Lifted with Sonoran Steel Current System 1.2

9 months after buying this 1999 SR5 I'm finally posting to this forum. I lifted it with SS 1.2 Currents (Radflo Coilovers) and feel it justifies a post lol. Bought the kit during SS's black friday sale, and had to wait a month for a friend to help me install it.

Was so stoked to install the kit that we forgot to take measurements of the height before the install... as a result I have yet to adjust the front height which is why the truck looks SUPER raked.

I'm waiting for the rear to settle so I can take a measurement of the rear height and adjust the front height about 1''-1.5'' below the rear.

Anyone know how long it'll take for the rear (tokico shocks/lc coils) to settle?
Or a measurement (ground to wheel well) of how high I should adjust the front coilovers?

Finally got my clear corners and turn signals from Burtman Industries. The passenger side corner is a little off on fit but I can live with it fine. They look good and I'm now I'm looking for a less yellow looking light that's not too bright and hoping I don't get pulled over for it lol.

Also got my projector headlights and shrouds painted and trimmed down the housing to fit the projectors. Gonna wire up the engine bay soon but have to get done wiring to extend the length of the wires to reach the passenger side headlight.

Happy so far.

Diving in to replace the alternator tomorrow...any tips or helps.

Something broke prior on removing the alternator before tackling the Big 3 upgrade...

Might be handy to have in case~
1) Alternator tensioner bolt #90119-08493.
2) Slider/Short stud #16385-62020

And removing the wiring harness clip out of slot was a time consuming pain. Be patient & gentle.

New Distro Base

Put my new Toyota OEM distro base in. The old one was leaking pretty messy out of the centre shaft seal.

Went pretty well, set engine to TDC #1 and pull old one. Strip out coil and reassemble on the new base, put in new rotor. Put back in.

Interesting note: I had a bad engine noise on the radio when listening to AM. Not sure how long it had been there because who uses the AM? I put a new condenser in the new base and the AM noise is gone. I guess a new $10 part is OK, the original has been there since 96. Not sure if the condenser has anything to do with the quality of the spark as well but time will tell.

1997 4Runner Indigestion Issue

The last time I drove my 1997 Toyota 4Runner V6 Automatic on an errand to pick up a large plastic cover, the 4Runner started losing power. It almost seemed that it was running out of gas or that something like something was taking away spark and it ran rough, wanted to go slower and all sorts of stuff like it idled and never quit, but like it had a tummy ache! I got clear of the traffic behind me and waiting and start moving once all the traffic cleared and zip, it ran with no issues! Now, this is the third time it had happened! Prior to this post, I had completed and Oil Change and know that that would not help, but did it anyway! Swapped out the Fuel Filter and Swapped out the large vacuum tube from the air cleaner to the TB Intake and taped up a couple vacuum hoses that I suspected was not connected well. Placed Fuel Cleaner in the tank and later dry gas and before that used a can of Sea Foam... Any ideas would be gratefully received!

my old Celica did that when my alternator was dying, got worse until the point where the car was surging and the headlights would surge and dim.

Tried to diagnose.... Inconclusive thus far!

This is my first post, hope I am posting in the right area! Possible coolant loss, thick white smoke,

1998 3.4L 6Cyl 4x4 260k

About two weeks ago, I went to replace my front brakes/rotors and accidentally broke one of my hard brake lines, long story short, I had to leave the car for a few days. When I finished the job, I happened to notice that my overflow coolant cap was off, and the reservoir was empty. I put a great deal of coolant in, above the max line by accident. I just left it.

Now, I have seen white smoke in the cold mornings with a cold start before... but this afternoon, after sitting for a few days,... the car had thick white smoke. I let it idle for a few, and drove it up the block. Young guys in brand new audi yelled at me that my car was on fire, thanks jerks, I didn't notice my car sending smoke signals to the car gods, and unfortunate pedestrians!

I took it to a reputable mechanic about a mile away, it sat overnight. The next day when I spoke to one of the guys he said they couldn't recreate my problem! In fact, it passed smog that same morning (including visual!!!)! He did tell me that my coolant was about a pint low. I told him I had filled it and he immediately told me it was the HG (without diagnostics), told me it could cost about 2700$ to repair.

BTW I am a blonde female in my early 30's, not sure if that attributed to diagnosing a HG that quickly...

I left the car nearby and borrowed another car while I tried to figure it out.

My Symptoms:
- White, maybe blue smoke on cold start
- Lots of water dripping
- Smells burnt
- No overheating
- No misfire
- Engine Oil is at normal level, TINY amount of milky residue on cap, but otherwise oil was at normal level, didn't appear milky, or watery... (Oil change was performed recently, last few hundred miles)

My attempt to diagnose:

-Engine Block Leak Test: Stayed Blue
-Today, I added one bottle of Rislone Ring Seal Repair: Ran for over 40 minutes, took to a different mechanic, he saw O rings out of exhaust, did blow by type test at exhaust with dollar bill, but not sure what that result was, saw oil residue I noted and I said it was a small amount, so he let it be, he said to drive the car and hope for the best. (Maybe I am too much of a pain in the ass, no mechanic wants to deal with my Google searches)
-Added UV dye to Radiator: I don't have a garage, I made a black light flashlight, and have some old yellow glasses, I am going to look now that it is dark...

What I would like to do:
-Radiator Compression Test
-Seafoam

Thoughts?
Thank you for reading this far (and I deleted like 3 paragraphs...)

Got an other 4R... saved a 98 SR5 from the wreckers.
It got into a front-impact. No airbag opened. Surprisingly, nothing leaks, not even the rad. It didn't have the AC condenser from before the crash.
Runs and drive (well, after I replaced all the EFI/IGN fuses and the 100A alternator/charge fuse... the guy tried to boost the battery BACKWARDS, hooking negative at the fuse-box alternator bolt...)
It still has a miss fire or something, didn't look into it yet. I just had to get it to move on it's own.

Needs a bumper, both headlights, corners lights, driver-side fender, hood and the most problematic part: the driver-side body structure and radiator mount. It's spot-welded to the rest of the body.

I found most of that in a junkyard, but the body structure is going to be a pain to get. Not sure if I should try to drill the welds at the yard or sawzall around it and take my time back home.

It's sleeping in the cold, waiting for parts still...

Can't help with a keyboard diagnosis- my head gasket fail had sudden very obvious symptoms of missing, sweet-smelling white mosquito-fogger exhaust, a fair amount of white goop on the dipstick and in the oil cap, definite coolant loss, and latte oil- but wanted to say howdy anyway.
