Thinking about pulling trigger on a set of Falken Wildpeak A/T3W in 245/75 R17 to be installed on 17x7.5 Sequoia rims.

Found a deal for $194 a tire Shipped a local shop that'll do installation for $60. Deal expires Monday...

Today I have learned that the coolant in my transmission most likely means that its ruined lol. I gots the strawberry milkshake coolant:cry:

If you haven't driven it much after coolant got in, flush the transmission ASAP and hope no damage was caused. Timmy the Toolman has a great video on flushing the transmission on YouTube.

I had one that was caught right away, and got another 60k on it with new radiator and flush. think the key was it was caught right away.

Have to vent... is anyone else not digging the new Sequoia and Tundras?

Toyota should copy and at the same time modernize the THIRD GEN! A throwback design would be great.

I swear the 3rd gen design is looking better and better all the time to me. Saw a silver one today and it looked so rugged and well proportioned. I fear Toyota is going to ruin the 4runner.

Found a matching aluminum wheel to replace the steel spare so I can rotate the spare with the new tires I got the other day. Looks like whatever vehicle this wheel came from had a a rear axle seal issue, smells gross. Couldn't get much of the gear oil stains off the inside with either simple green or aluminum wheel cleaning and a brush but it's good enough for now.

It is the sweet spot for sure, so svelte, nimble and utilitarian. The 5th gens are completely soulless compared to a 3rd gen. My 5th gen is like riding a fat middle age housewife compared to my methed up stripper of a 3rd gen. Hardly ever drive the 5th gen. That said the 5th gens are built really solid with many improvements. Everything is beefier and better though out. I like the idea of the world platform thing Toyota is talking about, consolidating the prado, 4runner, etc or whatever. I don't think they will screw it up because they have to complete with things like the Bronco now (body on frame, manual option etc) and that pseudo-offroad Tahoe Z71.

Well every carmaker these days seems to be bringing back the older gens. Supra, bronco, integra, ranger, maverick, etc. Maybe we’ll get lucky with a 3rd gen throwback.

Getting 12.5 MPG after I replaced the TPS so leaving the battery unplugged for a while and see what that does. I think I fiddled around with the throttle and kickdown cables with the old broken TPS so maybe it's that.

Replaced my blinker assemblies. The originals were hazy, pitted, and cracked.

I went with with aftermarket replacements (CarLights360 TO2530133 + TO2531133). They do seem lower quality but not too bad, they were cheap and seem like they’ll be good enough. Time (and weather) will tell. They certainly look great right now since they’re not cracked or hazy (yet):

I'll keep my originals as spares since they still work just fine.

I also replaced the license plate light bulbs (Sylvania 2825 Long Life) and the corner light bulbs (also Sylvania 2825 Long Life).

The corner light bulbs have been burnt out since I bought the truck, and appear to be original or at least genuine Toyota bulbs:

Are those speakers in the foglight holes? :D

thats gonna be fun, make sure to pray the inlet and outlet bolts with penetrating oil the night before before you remove the old rack!

Piece a cake it a southern truck, 3 yr ago removed for bushings, 18 months ago for diff swap LCA bushings. CV boots slung grease everywhere in past month, fug.

Totally forgot to update regarding the new bigger 1 1/8" master cylinder. It has firmed up the pedal perfectly, quick take up, super easy to modulate the pedal. And when I need to stand on the pedal it really jams on the stoppers!

Very similar to my miata. Though I did have to bleed again after I cycled the abs pump. Dirt road and some speed did the trick. The air was trapped in the rear lines.

I don't have any finished pics, but the bolt spacing is perfect on the f350 master, I had to make an extended push rod as the f350 has a deep hole. The master was a pita to bench bleed. Everything worked fine, I'm 100% happy with how the pedal feels. Much better then stock with TBU and rear discs. Just made a jumper harness so the fluid level sensor would still work.

You’ve peaked my curiosity. What did you do exactly? Did you have to replace the hard lines and fittings between the master and abs pump? Any additional modifications to do this? OEM booster?

Winter Boots

Cold got my boots wading in ice covered water.
So while I'm in there :
CVA's
Add some lift new springs settled.
Locate suspension popping noise. Swaybar end link loose @ LCA maybe it.
New Rack OTE's flush PS sys. @ 225k mi that a good life.
Degrease

Edit: Diff fluid change @ 10k mi after 500 mi break in change, Gears & Horrop e-locker rolling along fine
fluid looked good paint filter clean.

Bad Luck, I had to make 2 short lines. Used a wilwood proportioning valve (didn't need) and a union to join to the oem lines. Stock booster, made a longer plunger nose to fit inside the f350 master or you can use a master slug (what ever it's called that fills the hole in the master).

Here is what I used:
1997 f350 1 1/8 master
M18x1.5 by 1/8 npt adapter
9/16-18 inverted flair fitting
3/16 brake line
M10x1.0 inverted flair fittings
M10x1.0 inverted flair union
Long bolt that threads into the booster pushrod

Here are some pics:
