That's the direction I went... velcro holds it just fine if you have enough surface area.

Topped off the ol power steering fluid reservoir (Valvoline MaxLife ATF)

Also bent my upstream cat heat shield away from the cat to prevent the incessant rattle that I’ve dealt with for 9 years. The results yielded a success, so I’m certainly happy about that!

Man, if I wasn't fixing my own right now I'd be tempted to buy yours. Some 15 years ago, we had identical damage on a 98 (looks exactly the same as your pic, if not more damage on the passenger side). First thought--totaled. Then, our mechanic fixed it for $800. Never had a need/desire to fix the airbags, and it's still in use.

Don't be surprised if people start throwing money at you for it.

Today I "flushed" the radiator and some of the cooling system with a garden hose. Addressing the pink milkshake issue. :faint: Wanted to do that before starting it up and doing a proper flush.

Anti rock bar. Products > Antirock Sway Bars Think of it as an off-road specific sway bar. Mostly used by rock crawlers.

they're used in high speed desert/off road as well, anything with large amounts of travel, a sway bar that doesn't need to be disconnected. In this case the ones u c r from TK1, the owner Tony was very easy to work with and helped with the install by looking over mock up pics to make sure everything looked good.

That has been in the back of my mind last couple years, run torsion bar through frame tube that goes side to side 45" bar looks promising.

Just one of many steps I'm doing. I don't want to contaminate the new rad, so not installed yet. Want to keep the old one in to cool the engine during flushes.

How are you preventing continued mixing of transmission fluid and coolant if you are running the engine with the old radiator still installed?

Disconnecting the trans cooler lines at the bottom of radiator.

that will work, did you drain/flush tranny....you dont want that water sitting in tranny even if just idling

While flushing or while driving?
The risk doesn't go away with an old radiator and potentially corroded trans cooler core.
You'd be better served to swap the rad sooner if your goal is to reduce the risk of a pink milkshake.

I couple days ago I replaced both of the o2 sensors on my 99 limited. Up steam and down stream . Holy cow those nuts were hard to get off. I soaked them with PB blaster for a few days and ended up using a torch to heat them up and a box end extractor wrench to break them free. Talk about a pain in the butt. I went with denso sensors from rockauto.com

Around here in the salt belt I don't even bother with a wrench. I grab my little Dremel with a cutoff wheel and slice off the nuts. Then I chase the stud threads with a die and reassemble with fresh copper-clad self-locking exhaust nuts. You can get a dozen for less than $10.

Installed 2020 4runner rear OEM shocks. For anyone that's lifted above 3" and wants a really soft factory ride buy these!! I believe they are the softest shock you can buy and be lifted a good bit. Shocks are 24" extended which is I believe is 4" longer than stock. I have them paired with the LC 7.5 wraps

Previously I was running the 80 series OEM Tokico rears. 2020 4runner shocks are about the same length as the 80 series rear and should be valved a bit softer.
Part # I purchased 48530-80604. Costed me $75 for the pair at the dealer. What a bargain!!!

That's good to know! Did they come with all the upper bushing parts/centering cone or did you have to reuse from your previous shocks?

The only hardware that came with it was the top nut. You will need to re use or buy bushings/washers

That's odd, the parts diagram shows the shock, cushions, retainer and nut as an assembly
