That picture was me referencing me receiving the wrong parts years ago in response to BadLuck's questions. The Mevotech Supreme pats I received yesterday are pictured in my original post on this subject earlier in this thread and they are the correct length, but with additional girth on the tubes.

Went to local Toyota Dealership yesterday and only paid $15 bucks for this OEM Metal Toyota Key. Love this simple design..I needed it, previous owner had an aftermaket key made and it just didn't feel "right". It's the little things sometimes.

Replaced Alternator Brushes


Had an issue with the adjusting hardware but a semi-local dealership had replacement parts someone ordered 5 months ago and didn't pick up. I don't usually get that lucky, especially on a Friday afternoon!

Also drilled and tapped one of my stripped skid plate bolt holes to 3/8. Of course now I want to do all of them so they match.

You got your money's worth on brush, curious of the mileage?

Tapping holes can be a PITA, you wana up your game (make easier) try spiral fluted taps made for powered tapping.
Chuck it up in cordless drill grease on tap put in hole squeeze trigger, put Drill in reverse squeeze trigger done.
Great for blind holes also.

Need to do this eventually. I've got two that are stripped out. They are still holding up my RCI skids and aren't backing out yet but are probably done next time I drop my skids, which will probably be soon as I have rebuilt (whiteline business and fresh paint) control arms to put in.

Mileage was 258,463. I started simple with the tap & die set. Wasn't sure what else I'd use it for and this was my first time. I'll look into the fluted taps. Thanks.

Installed a new Badlands Apex 12000lb winch on an Ampd up LLC hidden mounting plate. Fit like a glove under the stock fat lip.

My 80 AMP alt looked like that, too. Zero brush depth. Easy $20 fix.

I had to helicoil 4 of my skid plate mount threads so far. I used red loctite to glue the threads in after tapping and cleaning.
So far so good.

Why would you helicoil those? Were they so wallowed out that you couldn't fit a bolt big enough through the skid?

Just cleaned out my MAF today. It didn't look bad, I think there was some very fine light colored dust on it, but it definitely made a difference. Smoother at low revs especially. Might have to tackle a throttle body clean next.

Persistent a/c leak finally repaired today. It was at the evaporator, as I
suspected. None of the other fittings showed any leaks, so I let a shop handle
it. I just wasn't up for under-dash work. In and out in 3 hours, $241, and
they're a block away.

Have you used the google search of the forum yet to try and find someone else who has had this issue? Almost every issue has been figured out already it seems. If you can't find the answer in a thread on that subject you can always post in that thread to try and find an answer to your question since you don't have enough posts to start your own thread.

I'm anal and the thread was gone, bolts not holding/tightening, and I wanted to keep all the skid bolts the same size/thread

Yep me too still have set from the 80's I only know of from being in the Industry
I've added Toyota's favorites as singles.
Most DiY'ers haven't had the opportunity to try them, McMaster good place to start.
