What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Ordered a Borla XR-1 #40941 to replace the stock muffler. Decided on the 40941 mainly due to LINY4Runner's videos, with the 40942 [another member has vids of this one] was a close second. After hearing all the trouble COB had with Magnaflow, I definitely wasn't going to go that route!

The new one should be here on Wednesday thanks to Amazon Prime's free 2-day shipping.

Did you get one with the offset outlet or is it center in, center out? I ask because I didn't see one with an offset on Amazon.

I just installed a scan guage2 today, super easy. I converted my old cellphone windshield mount to hold it but it wouldn't fit in the left corner of the dash so I put it on the right side. Then I sprayed all of the Salt off it. I freaking hate the north, only a few days left up here.

I need to change my diff fluids as well. I bought the stuff to do it, but the drain plugs are rusted up pretty so I decided not to until I buy new plugs. Which I haven't done yet.

I started diving in to see about a knock in the steering column, and while I had the hood open, popped the radiator cap off for some reason....good thing, cuz it had fallen apart....guess I should have changed it at 200k. It got a set of plugs, rad cap, air filter, new rack bushings. Timing belt/wp and vc gaskets next weekend and it'll be good till 300k.

Lol. All I've done is oil changes since I bought it 50k miles ago....and one set of pads. I love these trucks.

I drove her around the block to turn that MM/AWD on, and to see how much snow my neighborhood(My house) got.

PS: Not much, a few inches MAX but hopefully we'll get more here this afternoon. Funny cause it's suppose to be back up to 61 on Wed./Thurs.

Yeah, our stock is center in/offset with 2.25" piping. This is center in/center out with 2.5". It's also going to be considerably shorter than the stock muffler, so when they install it they will have to add pipe & account for the different in size.

From what I can tell none of the XR-1 models are offset, they're all center in/center out. The only option you have is the length of the muffler, size of the inlet/outlet, and if you want round/oval.

Today, I filled up the brake fluid reservoir to get rid of my intermittent brake light, and replaced my blower motor resistor pack so now i have all my fan speeds instead of just high! The threads are, up do a search!

Changed the engine oil/filter, got a new battery, greased up the driveshaft zerks, and rotated the tires.

Put my new E locker and axle under it along with new cloth seats from A Wilson. Thanks for the killer deal and the help today and yesterday alex.



Just have to wire everything up and will be on the road again.

Maglite Mount

Mounted a 3 D Cell Maglite in the back of my 2000 Toyota 4Runner. It is mounted in the curve of the back wall so it doesn't really interfere with the width of the rear hatch opening, and it's low enough to be hidden by the cargo cover.

It's a small thing, but it was fast and I think it looks pretty good. You can still see the pencil marks around the mounts in these shots. It cleaned up easily.

(Red duck tape on the handle is so I can find the thing if I drop in the grass at night.:nono

Installed my 5100 yesterday.I used the 2.5 setting on the shocks. These shocks ride so good. Literally day and night with stock shocks. Thanks to Magikbeans562 for selling me these shocks.
