I replaced my stock front speakers and tweeters with new Kenwood component speakers. Amazingly huge difference. I should have done this years ago.

I just got done replacing my starter contacts from 4Crawler. I hope to NEVER have to do that again. It was a PITA.

I found a grey interior 3rd gen at the wrecker (rare as unicorn droppings it seems), grabbed an unbroken armrest cover, unbroken rear cupholder, and a passenger side sunvisor so I'll have a mirror on the driver's side! I'm going back for the seatbelts, didn't have the right tools today.

I'm new to the forum/forums period so today i did the seafoam treatment (great smoke show), deck plate, and intake silencer removal. I've been searching here for the next upgrade so i am open to inexpensive suggestions. i quit drinking and am finding a lot of extra time on my hands and a little extra cash thanks to this forum i wasn't bored out of my skull today!

For those of you who read my build thread...sorry for the repost...
We ended up taking the intake plenum off again, and swapped back in the 5 old injectors, leaving only 1 Refurbed injector in the Cylinder 1 spot. After driving it home, leaving it parked for an hour, and then going back out to restart it..... IT STARTED UP WITH NO PROBLEMS!!!!

The old valve cover gaskets were brittle!
Ah yes....the ever so common brittle electrical conduit:

Not too shabby looking in there:
I'm gonna test it thoroughly over the next few days, but looks like this was the fix! Lesson learned....don't buy expensive components off E-bay....you never know what you're gonna get!

ALBPM, you've been getting a lot of maintenance done lately. Hopefully you're getting ready for some summer road trips! That's a good order... the exact same stuff I put on the '97 awhile back.

Looking forward to more mods, however. Next on the list (I'd say in maybe a month, if that) is the Tundra brake mod; trying to decide if I'm going 199mm or 231mm.
After that is a LIFT; and then I'll start an actual build thread. I kinda feel like I'm still a poser until I've got a lift under the 4Runner.

Any problem with squeaks?? I was thinking about getting some extra lube from Energy Suspensions.

The only time I ever get squeaks out of them is over the big speed bumps in my neighborhood. When I go over those things, I can hear the poly bushings on the sway bars squeak just a little (the sound is like wet rubber soles on a tile floor). Other than that, they are nice and quiet.

Fitted the 35's and cut gridded away at plastic and metal. Pics up later!

Hey guys....I read somewhere that when using Poly bushings, putting some Never Seize on the bushings, prevents squeaks.....apparently it's more durable than some of the lubricants you can buy for them..... just thought I'd let you know!

HUGE improvement over stock / worn out - my 4Runner drives like new again.
