2002 Forester S got towed into my dealership with a timing belt gear locked up, 16 bent valves. Bought it cheap and rebuilding for my bro in law in college. So far I've completely rebuilt the 2 heads, new valves, seals, gaskets. Replaced tbelt, timing gears, pulleys, tensioner, water pump. Replaced brakes, tires. Cleaned interior. All under $1500 into it. Ill let my wife drive it a few months then give it to my bro in law as a reliable car.

I get it all the time from my girl. Actually got into a argument yesterday and turned into how she thinks i spend to much time/money on my truck and i would marry my 4r before her(been together 7 years)lol guess i didnt say the right thing because she still hasnt spoke to me lol

Ha.....that reminded me of an argument my wife and i had when we first started dating. I was really anal about my car then. She would give me crap all the time about how often i washed and waxed it. During this particular argument she gave me the "you love your car more than me" line.....I had heard enough so i followed it with "That might be true, but i love you twice as much as my mother and father's cars put together"....LMAO!!!....She didn't talk to me for two days.....HA!!!

I used to go through the same crap with my ex all the time, every time I was working on my car, every time a package came, every time I had a new part... "How much did that cost?" "Why do you need that?" "Why must you spend so much on your car?"

She just wants you to spend money on her instead. My fiancé gets that I've been with my truck longer and I always spoil my fiancé anyway when I can.
We have only had a few arguments because I spent time lifting up my truck or cleaning it or bringing a brown truck to my dads wedding....

Imheaded home now to intercept the winch before she gets there. I wouldn't want to spoil the suprise now. I want it in the bumper so she is blinded by rage before she even sees it in there.

This 50 degree weather allowed me to hand wash my truck today! Such a great feeling being able to wash all the salt off by hand. Crappy picture quality but you get the idea. Can't wait for Spring to get here so I can detail it!
