I had the same issue a while back, heard some noise like pocket change jingling and couldnt figure out what it was. finally parked where one of the D-window's in my rim happened to line up with the caliper pin allowing me to see how far it was hangin out. evidently the clip pin had broken off or fell off. luckily i was able to catch it before it might have gotten into one of the d-windows while the wheel was rotating that would have sucked!
Anyone ever have a problem with a musky smell coming out of their Vents when you first start up the car? Recently changed out all of the filters and the problem still happens. Went to Toyota to get their spray in my vents and it fixed the problem temporarily. THE THING IS: I only ever notice it come back when I take the car apart to work on the Head-unit or anything where you have to remove the vent gills to access the truck...Very strange. Checked and no dead animals anywhurr.

Yep, I have the same problem, my heater smells like mold/mildew which I'm severely allergic to. Sucks
Been trying to find the solution on the forum and the only relevant findings are people who have found dead animals in their piping. Could there be a moisture build up somewhere in the line? Water gets lead somewhere, and can't find a way out?
The best thing I can do for now is just dump the aerosol that Toyota uses into the inlet whenever I start to notice it again.
Something you could do to avoid the mold is putting a piece of HVAC filter in front of each duct grille? Granted, it won't stop the smell, but it will stop any bacteria?

Next time, put that tire that's leaning against your T4R to good use and place it flat under the frame. It makes a good back up should your T4R (or any vehicle) fall off the jack.i remember my only time using the bottle jack
Was sketchy as hell and i hated being on the ground next to it while i was changing out my slide pin.

I've read somewhere on here, that the glue holding the foam in the vent ducting as well as the foam itself breaks down over time causing the mildew smell your referring to. I haven't seen, read, or heard of a fix. Most just mask the smell as best they can

washed the road salt and crap off my truck today then put on my Smittybilt Beaver Step. little tip to keep down on sound from your hitch, take about 3 inches of bicycle inner tube and cut it in half and slip a piece under and on top of your hitch and the sound goes away.
the step is 17 pounds so without the inner tube it sounds terrible

if it had fallen, i would have left it and washed my hands of it. I was never underneath it. I dont trust anything with my life.

Great news on all fronts. I'm mounting these along the bottom of the rear window so I wont see the in the mirror (blocked by rear headrests) and I hope they are bright enough to see through my tint at a distance. BTW where are yours mounted and have any output shots? I tested them with a 9v battery and they were pretty bright even with that
40" would be perfect. I'm at 38.5 front. I'm adding a 1.5" spacer too. did you need a spring compressor to get the whole thing in there? I'm hoping I wont have to rent one
