Whatever helps you sleep at night man. Just do the fj 6 speed swap and be a pioneer on the forum lol.

It sometimes hesitates from reverse to drive for 5-10 seconds then SLAMS into gear. I mentioned it and they said its nothing.

I want to be a pioneer. I HATE automatic transmissions.

They also didn't cover my 3 seized calipers even though that's covered under warranty

Damn man that sucks.

Personally I love having an auto in my daily driver just from a convenience standpoint. But when I can afford a second car like a fr-s or mustang gt or something it'll def be a manual. Keep us posted on what you end up doing.

That happens to me sometimes with a cold quick shift. When I feel it's not in gear, I shift to neutral then back to drive and all good. I wouldn't try to work over Toyota! Take ownership.

Due to this issue I've gotten in the habit now of reversing as far as I need, popping to neutral while coasting, coming to a full stop (cause I treat my trans right) and then shifting to drive.

Replacing my beat up rusted hatch with a newly acquired one. Got a fender. Gonna get one more body shop estimate. Then order my sport hood and components then go look at some winches!! Should be a good day!

When I bought my 2006 last weekend it came with the 2 black keys but no valet key. It also had a non functioning remote start system. Last night I had a friend pull out all the old remote start wiring to install a new one and he found the valet key up under the dash. It was being used in the old style immobilizer override. Now I have all 3 original keys and a functioning remote start.

That's awesome your warranty is covering it. I'm gonna play stupid, clean my truck and say that I've had an issue for 30k, they said they couldn't find it without checking the trans, then it gave out in NJ on the road and they were forcing me to replace it while they had my truck hostage. See what my warranty rep says then haha

Excellent. I was looking at some of the surface mount marine lights that I could mount into the rear bumper.
