What did you do with your 4runner today?

that's not a bad idea. That's what I used for the mesh, and the inside lip of the grille.
Thanks jd and mytoy, still got to figure out what to do with the latch, I'm an inch short to connect it.

Changed my spark plugs yesterday, and did some "testing" of the 4wd.

The plug on the drivers side firewall is a *****! Couldn't find a wobble extender, but I made due with what I had.

Just have the front diff and transmission flush to do for the 60k service and I'll be good to go. :bigok:


Side note - Noticed on the invoice for the 4wd actuator that my dealership filled the TC up with 75w-90 synthetic fluid. Thought the dealerships still used 80w-90, but not complaining!

I would be tempted to leave it without the emblems, it looks great like that IMO.
 
Probably will stay without emblem, I can't justify paying 80$ for one, that's what I paid for the whole grill.
 
I was a goood 4runner owner today! I gave it a good wash, put on some new wiper blades and took it out for its 10 miles in 4x4 so I won't get a frozen actuator.
Who's with me? Lol
 
I had the opportunity to once again tow someone out of the snow. Guy had slammed on his breaks to avoid hitting a car that cut him off and slid off the road into a snowy field. I was hesitant to offer help since the last guy I offered help to declined :decision:
Decided to turn around and offer it anyways. They were clearly not moving since there were several guys trying to shovel the snow out from under the tires.
One guy didn't think my truck would be strong enough to pull it out.
Said a little prayer :pray2: and slowly pushed the gas. My truck nor my tires failed me. Not even the slightest. Pulled it smoothly right out onto the pavement.
Guy said, "Dang, that thing is a beast!". They were very appreciative and off we went.
I was on cloud nine! :jump:

yeah that sucks I saw earlier today the posts about it, I thought you had gotten the truck back and the same thing happened again sorry for the miss understanding

Maybe so, but if you don't want the help then don't accept it. Simple as just saying no. Also, if you want the help, you hook the tow rope to your own car.
I'd rather offer to help someone then let them sit on the side of the road. I look at it more as good Karma, not as 'what if I get sued'.
 
Picking my 4Runner up at 12. I haven't had it since last year. 5 days in the shop! I miss it so much :(

Then coming home and doing 3 sets of gauges.
