What did you do with your 4runner today?

Went and picked up this little guy. He got a little car sick from his first maiden voyage.

I added these today courtesy of Blue Ridge Overland Gear. I'm always needed more storage and these fit the bill...great fitment, easily adjusted and quickly removed. I'll probably throw them on the rear seats just so they are out of the way for passengers.QUOTE]

I was reading the reviews from the site, and a consumer mentioned this problem: "Unfortunately the dim bulbs in shipping decided it was a good idea to fold them in half to ship them. This effectively destroys the stiffness of the backplane that is even mentioned in one of your videos! Unless I can figure out a way to re-establish this stiffness they are always going to sag out from the back of the seat when it is reclined any at all."

Was that an issue for you?

No, I had no such issues. The box mine came in allowed the panels to sit flush on the bottom with no bending. I could see how they would easily be bent if they were crammed into a smaller box. I imagine that was due to some type of mix up but you could always just mention it to Matt (who I dealt with and I assume the owner) when you place your order. Mine have a little flex when the pouches are loaded and seat is reclined but they are pretty rigid...I love mine.

found out my parking brake does not work like it should. when moving slowly in a gravel parking lot i put it in neutral and pushed the parking brake to the floor and the truck slowly comes to a stop. in my brothers tacoma when i pull the parking brake i could lock up the rear tires, but in my 4runner i dont think my parking brake could even keep me from rolling down a hill. when the weather gets better i will find out how to adjust it. i also took a video of me using the parking brake, i might post it up online if it would help explaining the issue

From what I've read here, the stock FJ springs are approx 10% firmer then stock 4Runner spings. Now, I bet I could really stir some sh!t and say that springs never really die, :tsk: But honestly, I would imagine that over time, they may loose SOME elasticity to the metal, causing them to perform "differently" then new ones.

Will be getting 265/70/R17 LTX M/S2's next week, will see how the ride is and then decide. thanks!.

Good wheel choice! I have those on my Silverado. Love how they look on your rig, but two vehicles with the same wheels would be silly to me, so got to find something else for my T4R.

yea thanks! they're not too bad for the price i got them for; 1000bucks w/cheap knock off brand mud tires ... just needed a different set of wheels to get thru the winter.

lol I won't say how long he had mine, I will say I have the last of the blue rpm rev limit line Alex will ever do. There were a few re-do's that had to be done to make it right and Alex won't ship out the gauges until he's satisfied with the turn out (which is a very positive thing) Also he became a little backed up with holiday plans as well as other gauges flooding his doorstep
