What did you do with your 4runner today?

Salt sucks

I brushed the snow off of the runner, admired how clean it was (salt free) and decided to just drive the Tundra instead. Im just going to trade in the tundra again in 3 years, but the 4runner is forever. The crap they started using on the roads here is magnesium something or other and is really nasty on vehicles. Also contacted Demello about wait time on a front bumper. I have the 886 OME up front and it needs weight badly.

Oof, I guess we'll agree to disagree their bagels are always hard and overcooked...try Bruegger's now THEY have great bagels and cream cheese.
 
I drove my 05 SE today, ALSO with no gauges or HVAC controls. I shipped them to Alex last week for the LED swap! I felt like my wife as she never looks at the gauges when she is driving. DOH!

I looked under my 4Runner this morning and found a puddle under the front diff... I'm no longer happy. So much for new seals. Looks like the 4Runner will be sitting until I get the motivation to redo the seals when the weather warms back up. I'm wondering if I should have just left the original seals in there.

:frusty: Any suggestions? I was pretty meticulous throughout the entire process.

Sorry guys, I'm super slammed and I want to get your stuff done as much as I want to get my 300 other projects done lol. Lead time is a little longer, but quality is what I'm after :)
 
No worries man, I know you're working on them. It's just weird driving without them, I keep trying to check the time, or how much gas I have, etc and there's just 2 big holes there. Luckily I had the defroster on when I pulled the hvac controls and it appears that it still works without the switches which is what I was worried about, so I still have some heat coming up out of the defroster vents, with the snow and fog that we've been getting, I was scared that I wouldn't be able to see without them.

You are probably looking 8-10 weeks on the Demello bumper. Mine ships this week which is dead at 8 weeks, but when I called to check on it they said they have been swamped.

Yea the HVAC keeps whatever setting you had it on before unplugging it. Cool little feature

My acura doesn't do that, that's for sure. Definitely was happy yesterday when I discovered that. Definitely am looking for the quality, thanks bro. Can't wait to see em. I think the weirdest thing about driving without the gauges is not having any light in your face. If I turned off the radio screen, it'd be totally dark in the cabin, definitely a weird feeling at night

I don't send them back until I have a product that I would want to have in my truck for years. I don't care if you get pissed that it takes so long, I get OCD about the quality and I won't be able to sleep if I sent out something inferior to the work ethic and standards I have as a business owner.

Case and point, I've been working on an album for a year and two months. Now it's finally in the final stages, but I go crazy with details and stuff. I've spent a day or two just on finding the right reverb for 30 seconds of vocals in one song. Details details details!

I love when the cabin is dark haha
 
Applied primer to the Satoshi grille today and drilled the holes for the TOYOTA emblem. The holes don't look level but that's what it takes to make the emblem level.
