Just bought a bunch of the BLAZE orange from dipyourcar.com.... Orange 4th gen, here I come!

Got a new battery. Returned home after a week in Florida on vacation, got up to go to work today and my 4runner would not start. Jumped it, got it to the shop (was already scheduled for an oil change) and had them test the battery. Was told my original Panasonic battery was finally shot. 2005 with 118,000 miles. And to think that Firestone told me I needed a new battery 3 years ago. Ended up getting an AC Delco Professional battery. Would have preferred to do some research before buying but I was in a little bit of a hurry and have learned to trust Mike at the shop. What's everyone's thoughts on this battery?

Really ! sweet now I can see what it would look like . I was going to do more of a general lee orange. I wonder how much of a pain it will be to get the dip off later.

That's not photoshop. That's the FJ Runner made for SEMA in 2008 or 2009

Dip is easy to get off if you don't like it. Almost too easy haha. I need to fix my corner panel. But I don't wanna wait to dip this thing... Hrmmmm

Battery is fine, although it wont last as long as the panasonic. I still have my original from 2005 at 130k.

As real as a concept gets, google FJ runner.. There's a bunch more info.
It was shot down pretty bad by several people here and on 120 a few years back.

I just replaced the original Panasonic on my '03 at 99,000 miles. I did quite a bit of research and I read and heard lots of good things about the AC Delco Professional batteries. They were in the running for me, along with the Duralast Gold batteries that I have always had a good experience with.
I'm sure you'll be quite happy with the one you got. The only issues I read about were the standard Delco batteries having leakage issues after a year or so, which were causing damage to wiring and other components near the battery. The Professional line is fully pressure tested to prevent leakage, so no worries there.
In the end I went with the Optima Yellow Top. I decided that an AGM battery would be best for me, because they discharge slower than a standard lead acid battery. My 4Runner is not my daily driver, and will only be driven once a week or so, possibly more during the winter weather here in MD. It will also be my backup work vehicle, so I needed something that I know will start NOW after it's been sitting for a week, even when the battery gets a little older. I also wanted something with a better reserve as I will be using my 4Runner for various projects in remote areas and I would like to be able to power some electronics and other equipment without idling the engine.

I haven't done it on the 4Runner yet because I'm debating doing a Satoshi, but I have an '03. :doh:
That, and I still have to fix my CV boots and the driver's seat to pass MD inspection.

Can I just say the door handle idea on it is pretty sweet
I liked the idea - the execution is poor IMHO. Once he popped the rear door he had to walk over to it to open it. I think it would have been better if the rear door was suicide.
Also, he's super proud of the billet work - the parts that I couldn't stand. To each his own I guess.
I can't wait to see Alex's new traffic cone 4Runner.

Right? At least we wouldn't have to worry about clearance for our 33's....
Problem is getting all the body work done right.
