Thank you! I kinda just jumped for the KM2's on a whim and I'm actually liking them a lot!
Haven't had the Duratracs off for more than 6 hours lol.
My average mileage went from 15.6 with the 285/70/17 to 17.2 with the 255/80/17. It's something! It'll add up too over time
I think drag caused by contact area has to do with bad mileage as well, though I do not disagree with your unsprung weight theory. I have heard each pound of tire above spec is like adding 40 pounds that you are hauling. Having big heavy meats definitely doesn't help mileage but I'm hoping the reduced drag from the narrower tread will treat me nicely

Dang! I never should have done the math. Say you fuel mileage really did improve by 1.6mpg and you could in theory maintain or improve that. You could nearly cover the cost of the tires...That's great and all but it has me thinking about how much all the weight I've added to my truck is costing me every time I drive it. I wouldn't trade it though I don't think I could drive a stock truck and certainly couldn't wheel it!
Anyway good choice going with KM2's they're a proven off-road tire. I have personally never been a fan of the tall skinnies, they look a bit lanky to me lol :car::car::blabla:

3weeks since i ordered for my clazzio seat covers, was told 8-12wks waiting period.............feels like a thousand years to me!

Woah... That's $300 a year. I drive closer to 20k per year (and gas is $3.33 right now) so I'd save close to $500 per year. As it is I drive like an old lady, but I'm saving money which I can't complain about

Once I'm up to speed on the highway- like a bat outta hell. 65-85 usually
Still get great mileage. In town I get about 15-17. Closer to 15 if there are more morons on the road, they cause lots of traffic in my town
I have no idea what you're doing, but I drove my M3 like I stole it and still got over 17MPG . . .90% in-town and 10% 100+MPH highway runs - and that's a 333hp 3.2L.

yep still rocken the 265/65's I gather. lol I'm getting around 13-15 with the V8 after regearing and running 33x12.50's

I don't get it, I'm running stock tires with only a daystar lift and I'm getting 14.79 mpg according to the computer on the dash. since the fall my gas mileage has been creeping ever so slowly worse and worse all winter, not sure if its winter gas or something wrong with the 4Runner.
ordering an airaid drop in this week, maybe that will help a bit.
