What did you do with your 4runner today?

I would tap into the red wire on the radio harness, that way they only get power when the ignition is turned. A further back option would be the cig lighter

Finally got some more serious tuneage in TRex.



It's a JVC KW-AV61 with Bluetooth. USB hookup for the iPhone. Amazing sound on the stock speakers/system (non-JBL) I've always liked JVC stuff, this one is easy to use and fits well in the dash.

I have that too on one side, luckily I didn't add any extra silicone so I'll probably open them up and clean the inside lens with Windex or something. Any idea what that's from? I can only see it when I'm close.

I actually think it is from the silicone itself. That is what i had used to seal mine.:moping:

Yup could be the silicone off gassing. I had a similar thing happen the first time I closed up my headlights after painting them black - the spray paint was not fully cured and the off gas fogged up the inside.

Also, NJ don't use Windex on the inside of the lens, instead try a very light soapy solution(I used a couple drops of car washing soap with hot water) and either non scratch lens wipes or a very soft/new microfiber towel. Then do a final rinse with Distilled water and dry off with compressed air.

I spent the morning washing, buffing and waxing. Once done I went ahead and plasti dipped the emblems.

Yeah today felt like Christmas Eve I would have left today if the lady was ready. This was my quick shot after packing and getting everything for the trip ready! You will have pictures I promise, my sister is coming and is a professional photographer so we should get some awesome shots!

Figured I'd ask here to since this thread gets more traffic. My speakers in my rear doors both don't work. I've decided it's prime time to replace all of my door speakers. I have the jbl audio stock with an aftermarket pioneer HU. I'm wondering what speakers y'all would suggest I go with if I want to break the bank (I just did that) I listen to primarily Hip-Hop but also Country. I want the best sound quality I can get for both without spending more than about $400. And also what wattage is the JBL amp that's stock?
