To add to this thread, I purchased a dash mat for it, no dash cracks of any kind but as a preventative measure. from the sun and/or elements.. Cheap insurance in you will..

I have infinity's in my rear doors, and I had them in my last vehicle, they work well, but they're not at full power currently in my rear doors because I still have the factory head unit. -_-

Nice, I have a JVC Navi HU, but haven't installed my 4 channel amp yet. I had one of these 3.5's in my center channel in my 03 sport so I know how they sound. Miss having 10 speakers, that's for sure.
Changed both diff's and transfer case oil with AMSOIL, also greased drive shaft nipples. Didn't know what these ZERK JOINTS are (read it on the forum here for greasing).
ALso, lanned to do HID foglights install but ran out of time. Need to get that done to go with my HID headlights.

After owning the truck for just over a year I finally tinted it. Has the fronts matched to the rears and really like the look. Also added some AVS vent visors two weeks ago when I washed it.
looks real good, i want to get that same thing done on mine. How much was the tint and what percentage was used to match the back?

What year 4Runner do you have? I want to do this too, just wondering what grades and amounts of oil/lube to get.
I have an 03 Sport V8 AWD
I got a good deal on it. It was a promotion for 90, I ended up getting it down to 75. Its 3M film with a lifetime warranty and the 30% matched the best. Shops in the area varied anywhere from $65 to $125 and I just used the low quotes to get somebody with a good reputation to go down on price a little bit. I thought 30% was going to be too light, but 20% was way too dark in comparison with the rears. during the day it looks 100% uniform, at night if I'm parked under a light or something, I can tell that the front is a TINY bit lighter. I'm glad I went with 30% because I got the look I wanted and it's so easy to see out of at night. I was especially worried about the glare from my touchscreen head unit, but its pretty much nonexistent. Don't wait a year like me... get out and do it!!
Now I just need some brighter back up bulbs to compensate for the tint.... only logical thing to do is a full LED conversion. :reddance:

Or just add a massive rear light :biggrin2:.
I even added some side lights to help see at night.

Love the lights but even more impressed by the cleanliness and zero rust on the truck's frame/underside. Wish mine looked like that haha.
