What did you do with your 4runner today?

you have the camburg COs installed correct? Mind posting your thoughts on those and maybe a picture?

I have been eyeing them for a year and cannot quite make up my mind, not a lot of 4th gen guys are running them.

Ya I have the camburg ones and i like them. They are basically the same thing as sway aways but just has a camburg stamp on it. I got them used from a guy that had them on his tacoma. There pretty stiff cause the previous owner cranked them out for maximum height. I'm to lazy to adjust them haha. Ill do it once I get them rebuilt.
But if you go with the camburg branded ones then you must get aftermarket UCA's because they only come in extended travel. Other than that they are super nice and I picked them up because I got a good price on them

Nice setup and you're right - those are cranked! How many miles you have on the UCAs? Interesting that you have the UCA to shock tower bolt reversed. Was it easier to install the long bolt from the rear to the front?

Nice!!!! from what I've read up on the toyota s/c's the V8's had some discrepancies as to some would work fine with it an some would not. What I remember reading is that some of the V8's came with forged connecting rods and others came with cast connecting rods. So be sure as to which one your engine has as I know some where installing the super chargers on the 2uz-fe's and breaking connecting rods.

From my reading the UZ's in the 4R's are the japanese made motors and they have the forged rods. So all my reading shows it'll be fine.

Nice setup and you're right - those are cranked! How many miles you have on the UCAs? Interesting that you have the UCA to shock tower bolt reversed. Was it easier to install the long bolt from the rear to the front?

Ya it was easier for me to install it that way
i have about 3,000 miles on the ucas

Appreciate it. I have the camburg upper arms so I am good. I did not know they were extended travel only, makes me want them more now.

Are they relatively quiet? I have heard complaints about some of the other brands being loud and rattling.

Easy mode today. Washed both runners, dipped the 04s rims a flat gunmetal gray, dipped the 08s engine cover blaze orange, and removed the 04s step bars. Touched up paint on the 08.

Ya they are very quiet. They already have 10k miles on them from the previous owner so they are a bit squeaky because of the lower heims. That is the only flaw. Once I get some new ones they would be good to go. But just spray some WD-40 on the lower heims and the squeak is gone
