you could do a CBI ditch light bracket and mount it near the windshield/hood joint.
also, [MENTION=76555]guardsred944s[/MENTION] - you should convert those daylighters to HID so they can shine past your high beams. I used 55w bulbs/ballasts from DDM and the output is insane.
Also ETA - in keeping with the title of this thread, I flushed 2 quarts of ATF through the PS system after I replaced the pump last week. I also moved my hi lift roof mounts to a better location and installe dthem the "right" way thanks to some pics from BGR.

I bought a pair of OEM 06+ headlights in great shape and now researching a potential retrofit but will most likely just upgrade the lenses, black them out and do the squirrel mod.....all you guys posting up these retros are killing me!
Needless to say, the current OEM 06+ blacked out housings will be listed for sale soon, all plug and play with Phillips 6000k HID setup (I previously bought these off Gaterose).

Xenon Retrofits
I wonder if/when LED's will take over Xenons. I'm not sure if I'm willing to wait for that time as it might be a few years out. But I think it's the superior technology and eventually it will surpass Xenon. Just my $.02. continue your retrofits!
I'll probably wait until this summer to do mine - when I can afford downtime on the 4Runner and drive my other car.

when I saw the headlines for this I was thinking awe yeah time for some new parts somewhere maybe a new dash?.. But nope doesnt include the 4runners at all lol.

Yeah, the 4Runners never get the good recalls, I guess that's what happens when they're still made in Japan. It's all these American made Toyotas that are having issues.

That isn't my pic, but you get the idea. There are 4 little screws on the mount and it basically wraps around the edge of the tailgate. It's a neat little mount. I can post more tomorrow if that doesn't quite clear it up
Could you take a pic of the mount with the hatch open? Still not quite sure how it's working

at first i was going to ask why you doing a 06+ swap then doing a projector mod. from your signature..you already have a 06+ swap done right? now you looking to upgrade the projectors?
