I'll join this thread and say I just finished installing my new stereo. Have an 05 sr5 so put in jbl ms-62c in the front, cut out mdf spacers and adapters. Also swapped in the stock jbl sub enclosure with a new jbl gto 8" sub with a 3/4 mdf spacer ring.

I filled the enclosure with some great stuff foam to reduce the internal volume. sounds good. still tuning, but, it's a start. next up, hella 500's up front somewhere. and then my lift and tires.

After having bad customer service at Redline Cruisers I decided to find somewhere else to have the sliders welded on. Called Slee Off Road they want $95 an hour for at least 5 hours. I only paid a little over $300 for them and Jerry quoted $150 to put them on.

Is that a good price for the sliders?!?!

I have read water pump and timing belt prices between $600 and $1100 Tranny flush I was quoted $200 at Aspen Auto up on Jet Stream.
You could get a price on the water pump/ belt from them.

Hell no. I would learn to weld at TechShop and do it myself before paying that.

Take it to a muffler shop and let them charge you $150. They weld all day, every day. Never had sliders done, but I've had stuff welded FOR FREE there.

About 2 months ago I discovered the place and stopped to get a quote. The 2 guys in the back showed Greg and I around and we talked for like an hour. One of them said it would probably be like 65 an hour and only take 2 hours but I would have to talk to Justin. So I stopped by a few weeks later and he said more like 150 an hour and he didn't know how long it would take. So we made an appointment...I ended up having to cancel the day before because of medical problems I was having and had to pay them.

Last Thursday I stopped by at 10:30 and all the cars where there even the dog was out but the door was dead bolt locked. They open at 8. Friday morning I called and got the voice mail but I hate leaving messages. Much to my surprise he called me back 15 minutes later. He didn't sound to thrilled and said he would call me back when he gets back to the office to make an appointment, well I guess he never made it back to the office cause he still hasn't called back.

It's all about customer service and if you don't do what you say you're going to do then I don't want to do business with you.

Dang, I've seen the six shooters, but yours look much much more flat-faced than the ones I've seen. Are you happy with the quality? Anyway looks good as hell.

Strange to hear that Slee quoted you so much. I have heard good things about them. One girl drives from Divide to have them do work on her FJ.

You could try Jed at Armorology. He isn't cheap but should be lower than Slee.

Dang, I've seen the six shooters, but yours look much much more flat-faced than the ones I've seen. Are you happy with the quality? Anyway looks good as hell.

The metallic graphite really looks different depending on the light and angle but I love them and the color offsets the silver and black perfectly. They weigh less than stock wheels, have held up great offroad and have a really tough finish. To top it all off, Dustin and company at FN Wheels provide the top notch customer service.

Got my new windshield put in this morning. Now I can really drive my truck again, hood repair will be next week I think. Well glass on the move put in a FY brand for my windshield, hopefully this brand is good, it's called fuyao, my previous one from there competitive store down the street put in brand Benson, told me it's low quality, plus there install was worse, I discover on the top section of the install barley had any glue holding the window, no wonder I find the area little damp but not wet when I put my finger above the headliner on driver side .

I bought my hi lift brackets from slee and they were very helpful. I called to ask a few questions because I thought 45 dollars for brackets was steep, but the guy spent a while on the phone explaining things to me. Overall very pleasant experience, fast shipping to PA. I'd definitely buy from slee again.

SWEET! Can't wait to see how those mirrors turn out and if they'll work. I've been using the Porter/Cable DA for a few years with great results. Sure makes quick work of the spring and fall cleaning.

Porter Cable7424XP ?? Yep, been eyeing that one for a couple of weeks now. Still haven't done any real "research" on what prep/polish/wax combo to get. My paint is very shiny, but has no depth to it. Lots of swirl/small scratches on the finish, drives me crazy. Also wanted to restore the headlights, they are starting to yellow. OptiCoat (optilens) are products I'm seriously looking to get soon.

LED Mirror: Still in my car (I'm still at work) unopened. It's not in a box, it's packaged with lots of bubble sheets in an envelope. No wonder shipping is "free". .......

First of, the plastic seems very tough. I was afraid it would be flimsy, but it should be ok. Of course, they need to be painted. Because of the mishap with the valet (rear bumper) a few days back, I'll be getting them painted relatively soon at that body shop (Duncan Auto in Allentown, PA).

Nice and strong, the only issue MIGHT be if the holes line up properly when installing the mirror cover to the body. I may add silicone to the edges of the light assembly (just to be safe) to avoid issues.

Another concern is the voltage. The turn signal assembly on the case reads: 13.5V. B/c our trucks are 12V, I'm thinking this shouldn't be too much of a problem. Anyone who is knowledgeable on the subject, please chime and correct me. Apart for the voltage, I'm guessing the LED might be crap, so I'll study them to see how easy it will be to replace them when the times comes they explode. Not pictured is the extra wire they supplied.

Puddle lights (LEDS), supposedly they light up white. I plan on wiring them so they light up ONLY when the "inside door pubble light" lights up. I was going to have them light up when the running board lights turn on, but figured, "naaaw".

If I have any updates, of course I'll post.

The voltage will be fine, im guessing that the LEDs have some sort of regulator built in anyway, but the truck will be putting out 13.5-14+ volts

Sounds like you're pretty skeptical lol.
