What did you do with your 4runner today?

Confirmed: mirror "insides" fit.

Headed to see [MENTION=93434]gshadow325[/MENTION] today, nice guy!

I was very uneasy as to whether the inside parts of the mirror (black assembly in the picture) would align and screw on easily like OEM. Remember that aftermarket parts usually SUCK. As you can see, fits like a glove.

Definately will do the heated mirror mod (plug and play), so I might order them today.

I'm on my way to the body shop to sign some papers and dropping off the mirrors to have them painted.

Still on the wall as how to wire them up (puddle lights), but I'll more than likely have them turn on when the door opens. When the doors unlock, my factory running board lights come on and I think that's good enough. Puddle lights should light up when the door is actually open, no?? Any opinions??

I'm with [MENTION=87687]LTDSC[/MENTION] wire them to unlock. I have some wired with door open right now and i really don't like it. It just always seems to late! I plan to wire with unlock some point soon i hope.

Replaced a bunch of burnt out climate control bulbs. At least I think I did, it's still too bright out to be sure I got it all right.

Looks cool but I'd break that so fast on the trails. Also wouldn't mounting them higher put out more light?

i will remove them when i wheel and it adds plenty of light for the backup camera. now that its dark i will take a picture of the backup camera view

Took about 3 hours. 11 blades and cut through as much as I could with a cut off wheel. Only have a 4" one so I couldn't get all the way through on some. Get to do the drivers side tomorrow. Bolt and sleeve were so rusted that even after getting the bushings out they are still in there.

Some fire usually expedites those problem and makes it a non problem. I have learned from this truck to NOT mess with the rusty jobs and pay someone to do it...lot less stress and time

Lol, sorry that didn't look good how I said that. I am happy with what I have coming through FEDEX, I have some custom UCA's in route ;-)
