What did you do with your 4runner today?

Victory shall me mine!!!!!!!!!!

Got my "reburbished" TLs back! Solenoids have been repaired and the cause to them being polarity sensitive has been addressed (technical crap). Hi Beam pattern has been modified to be wider, clear lens installed (instead of the stock/crap Fresnel lenses projectors typically come with).

Now on to getting OEM headlights................... urghh.................

nice projectors, i retrofitted those into my wrx headlights a while ago. what a difference they made! the only downfall is how big they are, they take up a lot of space..

You just need the kit that has more cups. There's the basic like 5 or 7 piece then a kit with 13 or 15...i don't recall exactly how many. But with the right kit and a cheater bar it's really easy. I did both mine in under 2 hours in the dark. Watch where you position the zerks as the cv axle will block access if you don't get them properly oriented.

Oh yeh. Leave the lcas on the truck. Just disconnect at the lbj bracket. Easy peasy.

I heard there are other kits, none of the local shops had the more advanced kit. but if you can find it that's your best bet. Nyc-Runner

after my wife dropped me off from work, she was stopped twice by some guys wondering about the lift I just installed. They asked her a bunch of questions about it...feels good knowing I did the work :).

My daily view 6 days a week since August. This is the chosen view from my favorite stationary bike at the gym.

I had been dealing with fractured vertebrae for the last two years. Between all the steroid shots making me gain weight, the steroid shots making me more hungry than i have ever been which make me gain weight and the fact that i couldn't do anything to exercise making me gain even more weight i had to make some changes. In August i was able to start working on it at the gym and eating better at home. I still have more to go but hit a great milestone of losing 50lbs as of yesterday......Bragging over....move along, nothing to see here.....:yo:

Da' Tank has been errr, neglected as of late... Sooooo I cleaned her up this wknd. Fresh coat of wax and ordered some new parts that haven't made it here yet. :fishing:

TRD pro emblems, Blacked out headlights + HID kit, Amber fogs, TRD Pro 17's and some Spider trax... :biggrin1:

TRD emblems came in today (was going to go with Pillar placement like the 5th gen Pro model but i like where this one ended up)

Will post pics later as the parts arrive :)

I know your pain. Broke my back in summer of 2012. Compressed T4-T6 over 30% and couldnt do anything to exercise. Granted, I was only out for 6 months or so, your situation sounds worse, but glad to hear youre making improvements.

Not a bad view at all!

That's tough man I know exactly how you feel. What vertebrae! Back or neck? I broke my neck when I was about 18 (fractured c5 and c6 ) i had to wear a brace for about 5-6 months and heeled fine from that. Then all these years later about 3 years ago now I fell really bad snowboarding and had to be taken off the mountain. At first when I fell I could feel either of my legs for about 5 minutes and it came back in one leg and then the other but probably the scariest 5 minutes of my life,( other than the first time I broke my neck!) I pretty much thought I was paralyzed. Then found out from the original fractures I had bone spurs that grew and were putting pressure on my spinal cord and it was really compressed in that area. So I ended up having to get spinal fusion surgery and got my vertebrae C 5-6-7 fused. It was actually a much faster bad smoother recovery that the initial brake, I was fully healed at 3 months. Then after that I've been plagued by random accidental or careless injuries ( torn groin, very bad ankle sprain) which is draining on so many levels especially when your an active or just want to be healthy in general. I try to train on a daily basis, for me it's like therapy haha

That's a great mile stone keep it up! It's always tough to get back on the horse but it's great that your doing it man. I hope with the people your working with and treatments your doing your able to get better and stay healthy!

Thanks guys. Apparently i had fractured this vertebrae years ago playing football. The Two pieces had capped over and not healed correctly so over time it tilted forward kicking the disc back into the nerve bundle. The Sciatic Nerve pain was some of the worst pain i have ever had. Even more so than the 8 knee surgeries, two shoulder surgeries or the plate and screws in my hand....lol. I just feels good to know i am adding years on to my life and going to see my kids grow older.

The only bad thing is that my doctor told me i need a knee replacement. I am trying to put it off as long as possible because i would wear it out too quick and there is a lot of risk with infection when replacing a knee replacement. I have adjusted my workout and it has really helped with the knee pain. That along with the weight loss i might get a few more miles out of this bum knee.

Anyway, i don't usually brag about stuff but since T4R.ORG is like family i wanted to share. Thanks guys.

Good thing our rig's lights are huge. I wanted them for my lowly Civic, but they won't fit.

Sorry to hear of your back. Great to hear of your weight loss though, never easy taking it off.

4Runner wise: I recently ordered new screws for my rear bumper and rear floor trim. They are very rusty. Dude at the parts counter gave me this:

So Conicelli Toyota (partznet) is having a special 10% off until Feb 28. Wanting to get new headlights for another stab at retros, I jumped in the pool. I was going to wait a few more months, but, what the hell?!!! OEM lights ordered!

partznet.com: coupon code: parts10

Diagnosed the dreaded seized up center diff lock and 4wd Lo actuator

If anyone has the hook up on dealer parts I sure could use it. Been quoted 927.00 for villagetoyotaparts.com and 1187.05 at the local dealership just for the actuator assembly.
