What day you going out there? Going with a group?
I was gonna post in the SoCal section to see if anyone wanted to go wheel around somewhere since I'm free this weekend and no plans.

got the Borla Dual exhaust put in today, only mod needed to do was add an extra 2 to 3 inches of pipe at the flange in the front, the rest pretty much bolted on. so much quieter than the flowmaster super 44. also the back pressure came back. i can feel some performance. got this done at Emmanuel’s Mufflers in Alameda CA. best muffler guy i know, helped him a little bit on a corvette, always a good feeling to help a master out, talked about never to loan anyone your tools because you will never get it back.

I heard you couldn't buy dual Borlas for this model anymore.. Don't know what bird told me that but you lucky SOB I'm wanting a pair myself. How's it sound, mind attaching a quick rev video? [emoji1]

Meet us out at Coyote Canyon in Anza Borrego on Sunday Morning! We'll be headed up into Collins Valley to look around and have some fun. Nothing serious other than the rock garden to get up into the valley.

Installed a dual battery setup. I had an extra battery become available, so I figured I'd put it to use. I bought two 4gauge amp wiring kits(I'm going to install a power inverter in the back and needed extra wire for that. Plus I needed two fuse holders and the connectors, etc.), a stinger isolator, and new battery tray holder. Took about 2-3 hours. I had a switch and old voltage meter lying around and I want to switch control when the battery gets a charge. Just for now. I'm trying to see how good of a charge it holds with what little is hooked up for now. Later I just tie into proper circuit and done.

Here's a question maybe somebody has an answer:
If I manually switch on the isolator(connecting the two battery's) will it be like a switch for jump starting?

Or do I still do the jumper cable connect?

This depends on so many things... Show me a link to your isolator.

The other thing is wire size, you mentioned 4 gauge, which really depends on the length of wire between the two batteries, but I probably would use 2 gauge or better.

But I really need to see that isolator to see for sure.

Replaced what was left of the donut gasket by the spring bolts. Sounds so much better now with zero leaks.

Threw some window visor things on because I hate when you crack a window in the rain and 10 gallons comes in that little tiny crack instantly.

And also acquired some simple recovery gear. The gf asks if I plan on getting stuck. Maybe.

Yes. I work with a custom high end car audio guy. He said because the starter is tied straight to the primary battery, it will start from it. That's all I've found out so far. I need to try that Google thing.

nothing exotic here...24 hours since getting mine 05 v8 limited... replaced a fuse to get the lighter to work for an iphone charger

ordered tiny light bulbss for the control panel, a filter and M1 synthetic 5w30 for an upcoming oil change.

the tone is mild from the flowmaster i had, i havent got a chance to really drive since im sick, but ill see if i can do a vid soon, i can feel the performance back tho in the low end that i seem to lose from the flows. i think its more milder than the magnaflow, maybe because it enters the resonator first then to the muffler. you can still get it on ebay i saw at 1100 ? but thats the only mod i know that need to do to make it work for the v6. i saw some pictures of the tips very close to the rear mud flaps. but this install seem to be at the perfect spot, not too close and not too low.

Is that all OEM? The calipers,rotors and pads, where did you pick it all up from?

It's actually still 4th gen rotors, but 5th gen callipers. Just cheap Cardone stuff from local parts store.

Did you upgrade the front calipers too? Seems like that would just put too much bias to the rear.

Nope, too pricey right now. Would have to upgrade the rotors too, and I just did front brakes a few thousand miles ago.

I doubt it'll bias. 4 pistons up front and 1 in the back. It'll be just fine.
