Bumper is coming off today, going to bake the headlights and try to clear out the inside of the lenses, new bumper will go on tomorrow

Haha, doing my headlights today if I can trust the power to stay on for the baking process. Actually works out well, I got moisture in mine because I didn't re-seat a bulb correctly about a week ago, so I can dry it out too....
Which bumper did you go with?

I've decided to paint the lower door cladding white, and the flares and bumpers black. That way when I get bumpers they can blend into the flares like the FJ

Asked an offroad shop recommended by Toytec to lower my self-installed Boss front coilovers from 3 1/4" over original to 2 1/4" over original and realign. I didn't want that much lift from the getgo since I didn't add new UCA's and was worried about CV angles. I figured 2 1/4" would be good to go.
They gave it back to me with 1 3/4" driver side, 2 1/8" passenger side, the steering wheel isn't centered and it pulls left a bit. Ah well, these things happen when you farm out what you should do yourself (other than the alignment). I hope they can get it correct next time.

I've been on the fence about that too actually. I have the wrap material at the house. I recommend buying vinyl wrap material. It's removable if you change your mind.

Took advantage of today nice weather and changed the oil.
Also, washed her and waxed her. Sucks because I know the paint is starting to get damaged. I'll hit her with my porter cable orbital (with Meguiar's 105 and 205 I have stashed away somewhere) HOPEFULLY before the weather turns stupid.
Urtghhhhh (note the swirl marks) Used cleaner wax until I break out my PC.
Nice and clean

Back to the Future
After a lot of thought and consideration I've decided to ship my car with me overseas to the middle east. So I had to remove all non factory tint, remove all the plastidip on the cladding and from the rims. The rims were corroded and tires were sucking so I "upgraded" them to 2015 rims. So back to stock. It's been really weird driving with no tint. But the rims have really grown on me and the larger 270 vice 265 tires fill in nicely.
By the way if anyone wants to buy some cheap 6 spoke 17" sport rims lemme know. Located in SOMD.
FYI : to remove plastidip, spray wd40 all over plastidip. Like soak it. Let it sit for at least 15min.then powerwash it off. And by powerwash I mean 1800 psi at the smallest diameter lol. And yes I applied it correctly it still did not want to peel off.
And yes I had to do this, the country I'm stationed to requires stock everything and apparently they know, the baltimore shipping place would not accept the vehicle until it complied for any military out there.

Added a metric f*ckload of new pin stripes to mine from riding some trails, but on the plus side the runner did amazing. Also somehow wound up with a log lodged between the spokes on my wheel and it bent the brake shield and stuff but I'm just glad it didn't go through the sidewall of my tire. Bent the shield back and it was good to go with only some minor scratches :thumb:
Brake shield? What's that? Lol. I ditched mine a couple years ago because dirt and rocks always got stuck in them creating issues.
