I just hammered the side of the receiver where the ball joint slips into. Pops right out ... but if I had the right tools, I would've done as you also.

Yeah, we ended up doing that on the driver's side in addition to slipping a pickle fork in. We just got lucky that the fork didn't damage the boot. The passenger side didn't even need the fork, oddly enough. Popped right out when we hammered it.

Finished the left swing arm and spare tire carrier for my bumper...
I finished the design and fabrication of the spare tire carrier. It works beautifully. I'm happy with the results. Next week I'll install the fuel can carrier and accessories on the right swing arm. Almost done!

Thought id share my findings in my rear diff. This is what happens when you drive home with it screwed up, yeah its that bad. tried to clean it as best as I could. Have some scarring on the housing, wonder if it will hurt the new one ??

It's raining but I got a partial install of the Air Lift system I'm installing for towing
When it's not so wet I'll finish it and route the lines securely to the schrader valve
Also just purchased this trans cooler to keep the temp down

Not mine, but recently visited Japan and saw some interesting Runners. One with a body kit and another with what seems like a rear backup camera where the rear wiper should be. Sorry for the vertical video!

5- Pin Relay
I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out an electrical question here -
I want to wire LED underdash lights to both the ILE (interior lighting) circuit and directly to the battery via the taillight fuse, so that night time the LEDs glow at a low light and otherwise when the doors open/unlock the car, they go full brightness. I'd add a resistor in on the battery circuit.
Can I use a 5-pin relay for this? since there is no switch, I'm just worried about the times where the car is unlocked and the tail lights are on - what happens in this case, does it backfeed?

Been on the fence for 2 years now about trading ours in for a new 4R or LC200... Today I decided to hang on to it for another model year to see what happens with the above two....
So, I invested in a new leather driver side seat cover (the original sidewall is cracked to hell and it annoys the crap out of me every time I open the door to get in the vehicle) and a new rubber switch cover for the rear hatch (which is beginning to degrade finally after 10 years).

I installed one of those in mine on Friday, turned out great. If anyone wants pics, let me know. I mounted the schraeder valve in the trailer wiring plate.

Excited to hear about the Derale cooler. I was looking at that one too. Are you bypassing the radiator completely or using as secondary cooling? Are you taking the factory cooler out? I gots questions!
