Nice! I just did this with mine. I actually had a few feet of EPDM left over from a roofing project, so I use the templates and the originals to mark out some new ones. It's been on for a month or so and seems to work fine.

Installed wired front camera

Today, Saturday, was dedicated to the installation of a Kenwood DMX-7704S HU. I spent the morning soldering the Kenwood harness to the existing interface harness. I then spent the afternoon on the Advance Auto parking lot doing the actual install along with a few other electrical improvements (e.g., replacing some flimsy fuse tabs with add-a-circuits). Reasons for choosing this Kenwood model: mechless (NO moving parts), Android Auto/Apple CarPlay-capable, two USB inputs, two camera inputs, good UX, affordable.

Today, Monday, I tied up a few remaining loose ends from Saturday's Kenwood mechless head unit install:

• installed wired front camera following this post - this took several hours because it required drilling a hole in the grill for mounting the cam, running the combined video + power cable through a grommet in the firewall, and routing the cable behind the hood mat (I used Techflex F6 braided sleeving to protect the cable)
• reprogrammed PAC SWI-RC steering wheel control interface for the new HU
• double-checked the dip switches on the TATO JBL amp interface

Love your rig. Simple and I like the stance. I’m pretty sure I have the same dobinsons setup as you, it’s just not installed yet. Your rig is inspiring me to get to it and get it on.

Thanks man! I’m running the 302 springs up front with 723 rears. I’m hoping it will come down to a 2/1” lift once I get a front bumper and have drawers installed. I installed the lift myself in around 4 hours with beer breaks so it’s not too bad of an install.

That’s great. If those are the springs you’re running I’m actually going to be higher. I’ve going 300 in the front plus the higher struts and 677 in the rear. Basically 3” front and rear, hopefully close to 3/2 when loaded down.

Super pumped to hear someone installed that quickly. Can’t wait to get mine installed. Great work on that!

My wife took the 4R out while I was working yesterday and got a little muddy. Took a while to hose these two off haha

Also, I took the door emblems off a couple weeks ago, I think it looks a lot better.

Did you have any issues with the paint color difference from where the emblems were or did it not leave an outline? (door emblems)

The paint and clear coat was completely fine. There was ghost lettering afterwards. The goo gone did a good job for the most part but I took a clay bar I had on hand at the time to it afterwards and it removed most of it.

I was waiting to see how it did after a few washes before trying out a rubbing compound to completely get rid of it but to my surprise it’s almost completely gone already. I was nervous before doing this on a 14 year old truck that was in SoCal until I had purchased it, as I’ve read hotter climates can affect the paint/clear coat underneath the adhesive on the emblems (not sure how true this is, so I did it anyways). Turned out great.

435XX on this 2007 SE V6. changed out the Denso/NGK plugs today, what fun. thought for sure I would break something on the driver's side.

added a 3gallon air tank where the stock spare goes, hooked up to the arb compressor under the hood. Mounted a quick connect air chuck in the rear bumper.

also added a diff lock actuator for the arb lockers from a land cruiser. the arb switches were just kind of big and ugly. took a bit of work with the dremel but it worked out ok.

I'm Looking forward to seeing some pics of your lift setup. that's pretty much the same exact lift i'm looking at upgrading from my daystar spacer lift. unless i can find something better for the price.
there was a pick someone posted with the same setup except the added 1/4" top spacers and the thing looked like it almost sat level. I have a feeling it probably will be closer to a 3/2 even unloaded. I'd really like to see how yours tuns out. there's not too many people with this lift.
