Sliders installed! May add some gussets to them, but I haven't been planning any rocky offroad trips in the near future so I'll hold off for the time being. Have already been told I should've done them a myriad of other ways. If anyone wants to grind them off and reweld, be my guest lol

Overall very happy with how they turned out. And also incredibly happy that I can now wash/access things on my roof :bounce:

Installed my UpTop Overland Bravo rack. A few things drove me to this rack over a Prinsu or any other brand, but as of right now I am pretty disappointed with the product for a couple reasons. No instructions at all, missing parts, the bolts that attach the rack to the truck at the feet only bite into the thread opening by 2, maybe 3 threads at most (where the factory bolts went in 3/4" at least). The way the feet connect to the rest of the rack quite frankly just feels like an afterthought, especially on the front feet. It appears this rack was launched in July of this year, so I imagine they just adapted another rack to work on the 4th gen, but it just feels like it was rushed or they cut corners. Not feeling too confident to put a 150lb tent up there just yet. Hopefully UpTop comes through to fix the issues.

Nice! Were you the one with the JEGS set? If so, would you mind sharing exactly which kit you bought? I have an '07 Sport (with those wheels too btw) and am looking for some high-value sliders. TIA.

Yep, that was me! This specific kit was Trail Gear 120002-1-KIT. I just had to buy end plates for it (which they give a part number for in their eBay listing). Cost me maybe $300 all said and done.

There honestly might be better options out there (Like the 4XInnovations sliders). They run about $100 more after shipping if you want DOM, but get you a kickout: 1990 - 2013 Toyota 4Runner Off Road Rock Slider

I'd bought mine a while back and had em sitting in my garage so didn't do research into anything new that was available before putting them on.

For the rails, I think they appear high because of the cut of the side rails that extend below the mounting point on the roof. I'll take a measurement later but I don't think they are any higher than a Prinsu.

It was cheaper than any other option, the crossbars were flush (or nearly flush) with the side rails, I liked the flexibility for the rock lights and the cutouts which give a stable spot for a bungee cord, and finally it was something fresh and different. Additionally, I have a buddy with a Prinsu and I feel like the support for the middle bars is a little less than I wanted given how thin the side rails are. All that being said, the install and these issues make it seem not worth it.

By the end plates I mean the 4"x4"x3/16" steel squares that mount the bars to the body. Nothing special, though you can do a few things with them to increase strength if desired.

And yeah, mine were $280 shipped to my door. I ordered them through eBay because I had a 5% eBay bucks code, but they were sold by Jegs. I'm sure you can pick up that kit for slightly varying prices in other places, as well.

Definitely add gussets between the frame and the tubes before doing heavy wheeling. After a couple years mine have bent up enough to rub the rear doors when closing them. I'll need to cut them off flush with the frame and reweld them on to fix it. Or trim the bottom plastic of the doors and weld gussets on.

Good to know! Mine are pretty tight with the pinch weld already, so I'm definitely gonna try to minimize flex as much as possible.

Removed all of the XREAS stuff + springs and shocks, and installed the Eibach ProTruck suspension - alone, in my garage, with hand tools (except for the cordless impact) and did the no spring compressor front coil install. Also used new KYB top hats up front. Set the front perches to the lowest setting and love how it turned out - very slight rake, which will be perfect when I load up the cargo area.

The no spring compressor approach is fantastic! Much safer, and I found that all of my lower control arm bolts move freely (huge relief).

Only took a short ride so far (pending alignment), and I think I'm really going to be happy with this suspension. Esp since I got it Black Friday for ~$650 to my door.

Not pleased at finding a torn cv boot, but at this point it's to be expected.

Joe, can you post pics of the truck. Id like to see the stance after the new shocks.

Today replace the old NASTY headlights, wired and fine tuned the Baja Designs Squadron Sport light, still need to wire up the S2 Sport lights.
Trimmed down the wheel well liners for a better fit / look on the new bumper and respooled the winch line.
