Yes limiters are the same for both motors. I can't wait to really open my truck up again. Might even do a few more mods before the texas mile.
 
I drive 75-85mph on the hwy to work and back every day. From my house to work its about 20 miles and about 16 are on the highway.

Our speed limits are 65mph, but most traffic stays around 70-75mph. I cruise along at 75-80mph most of the time.

I've never tried to top it out but I get almost no vibration at all at 80mph. Very quiet and comfortable.

Avg speed to Denver from Colorado springs is 80-85 Mph (flow of traffic)
Max was limited to the governor at about 114 Mph. She sounded great and very stable, low wind noise (for 100+ in a SUV).
 
127MPH on my runner. going downhill on a highway with a STRONG wind behind me. would never do it again however it handled wonderfully even at that speed. only minor shaking.
 
100 mph in my 04 runner...130 in my old 02 legacy and 140 in my old 09 corolla...thank god for those 2 cars not having a governor
 
I will play... 90mph in my runner, I don't want to go faster than that w/ muds on.
Went 118 in a 05 Chrysler Sebring which was terrifying
120 in a 04' Cadillac DTS, and 125 in a 04' Cadillac CTS...Both felt like I was going 50mph
 
118 in my 4runner before all my lift and tires, would dare go that fast now.

140 in my dads 2JZ Supra when we went to an old stretch of highway that was rarely used, he got up to 155.:bluejump:
 
I've hit 98 mph according to my Garmin. My V8 was humming as smooth as glass and so was the Runner. As others have mentioned, truck tires are not made to handle consistent high speeds so we need to be mindful of that.

P.S. If state police departments are reading our posts, we may be getting some mail soon.:gun6:
 
116mph in the 4runner and 137mph in my 07 Audi A4 2.0t. Both feel solid at high speed but the 4runner is not one i enjoy running that kind of speed in. $4 a gallon gas and high speeds are not friendly on the wallet. :ybrick:
 
Did 100mph on 287 in east TX. Had to let it out because of stop sign/town!
Wind was side ways and road was kind of curvy. It handled great. I am very proud of it. :D
 
Needless to say, I love speed but because of friends doing stupid things, I spend most of my "need for speed" on the track. During the summer, i'm out there at least 3 time a month with a few friends who have super nice cars with that being said, I've done 120 in a BMW 335 6spd and 148 in a Mitsubishi Evo. I haven't done anything over 85 in my 4R because I had stupid friends who did stupid things.

Not ragging on anyone, Just don't want to have to learn a lesson for myself.
