depends on if you like/want dual or single exits. i thought u wanted the trd? gibson, magaflow,borla, all are good, it depends on what type of sound & degree of loudness you like , & of course how much your willing to spend. personally, i went with borla & love it.

I asked around town for the best muffler shop around, found 'em and had a 18" Magnaflow can installed. Albeit I have the V8 but the sound is awesome.

Some folks are quick to want to replace the whole system but the factory exhaust really is bomb proof, unless serious offroading is in your future, so why replace the whole thing?
 
I've been eyeballing the Borla duals for my V6 as well but the bulk of my mod money goes into the Mustang... :(
 
I know you are kinda looking for dual exhaust but I have a set-up that has noise but doesn't kill people with sound, if you know what i mean. I replaced the stock muffler with a single-in-single-out flowmaster 40 series and got the resonator on the back cut off(that bulky bubble looking thing on the back of the system right before the tip) and got a pipe turned out cowboy style. As far as looks and sound its great. Im not entirely sure on how much performance it added but i believe i did help with pick up from the pedal. Also with a cold air intake (i personally went with K&N) it makes a good sound. My friends actually respect my V6 even though all their vehicles are V8 because when I pass them up my car growls like a tiger:gun6: and I take the lead FTW:trophy:. Over all has a good sound and isnt so loud that you will annoy people till you punch it. :bigok:

Does removing the resonator actually do anything?
 
Sound wise, yes and no. Only if you have a louder muffler. For looks and the ability to cowboy the tip it is just what I needed!:rocker:
