I carry a Glock 43 with a spare mag. If I'm heading into a city, Consuela, my AR pistol with 40 round mag tags along.

The 40 is interchangeable with 357 with just a barrel swap.
9mm has a different breech face, extractor, and mags. Not sure you can do a swap.

ohh yeah I unfortunately know all about that. years ago doing swaps figured it out the had way. lucky though it is a 229-1 frame so it makes things a little easier to find. I actually have extras of different slide combo's that I have never even used. one that is kinda funny if not for the fact it showed bad quality control from way back is I bought a 22lr conversion never took it out for a couple years when I did the slide is what I wanted a 226 slide but it's marked 229 lol then the mags are 229 mags. so I really got a Friday or Monday build.
I also have couple 226's 238's 2022 a mpx9 and a fde AR made by sig think it's a m400
love them all. I think my favorite is a 226st in 357sig from the factory. only thing I changed was the rubber grips. I put a set of hogue aluminum grips on it. now the new legion that was at the shot show is the 220 i'm sure I will want one of those to lol. no wonder I don't have any money to put new goodies on my 4runner.

EDC a DW CCO in a TT Gunleather XCSlim or my G26 in a TT Mike's IWB with a spare mag weak-side depending on circumstances, occasionally my 442 no-lock. I own a lot of hardware, trained, well-practiced and competent on multiple platforms. With handguns my heart lies with 1911's but I have plenty of plastic when common-sense takes precedence [Glocks...love em' or hate em' been invested for years so...]

I'm with you as well I never feel more comfortable than when I'm carrying my 1911 but the xds for easier iwb while I'm standing public with shirt tucked in easier to conceal. That 1911 you have is one sexy piece of hardware![emoji7]
