When I carry, it's either my Les Baer TRS (sub 60 serial number, still tight as a drum), a G19, or, since it's summer, a G42.
When I travel, I also take an AR (SBR, have 4 to choose from) and can.
But I live around a large AF base, and lots of the land around here is federal, so I don't carry a whole lot. On the upside, there isn't a lot of violent crime here, so I don't feel the need to carry everywhere. But I will carry every once in a while if I'm out and not hitting a trail on the res or going by the base, just to keep in practice.

My EDC is a Glock 43 - nothing special but it works. It is not for purchase here in CA to non LEOs so I picked a couple up when i was in MD on orders.
When I feel like being different I carry my Jericho 941

I carry the XDS 4.0, I really like the longer sight radius but it's thin enough not to show on my skinny frame.

First of guns are bad and will do horrible injury to anyone that touches them. That is why there is no way I would ever carry one, they are just to dangerous for anyone but the government to use. But, if I did carry one it would be a Walther P99c DA/SA in 9mm with a ten round mag and spare ten round mag on my belt.

I was carrying a G43 but purchased a Sig P365 due to the 10 round capacity. Sadly, I have just lazily been pocket carrying a Ruger LCP though. I have been coaching soccer and carrying all that weight around got old and my mag came loose once. Pocket carry has it's own problems but the LCP is nearly half the weight.

(Everyone should own a M&P Shield! It's an excellent, lightweight semi.)

Pick the one that fits you best. Go to a range and rent all 3 and see which you like best.
Having said that, I've been carrying a Glock 19 for over 10 years and love the simplicity and reliability of it.

I decided to upgrade my glocks to RMR compatible slides from brownells.
FYI, the holosun is badass. I think i like it more than my trijicon RMR.
I hate everything about glocks, but i keep going back to it for 2 reasons:
1. reliability trumps everything for me
2. insane aftermarket support (glocks are the ar15 of the handgun world).

Without knowing your specific and intended use- G19 is the way I'd go. Sig and FN are hit and miss QC wise and they just don't have the same aftermarket/armorer support as Glock or S&W.
I know everyone has a "this fits my hand best" opinion, but really you can train yourself to shoot anything proficiently.
M&P's fit me better than Glocks, but I shoot, own and carry both.
I shoot both well, just have to train with them.
If you plan to carry the pistol, the G19 also wins out over the others in comfort and concealability as well as holster options and configuration.
There's a reason why Glocks & M&P's win 90% of military and law enforcement contracts all day long over everyone else on a massive scale, both have very good balance of cost, quality, reliability and armorer/aftermarket support.

Been a S&W revolver fan since I turned 21 and bought my first new gun, a blued Model 19.
Also have an LCR and like it better than any j frame I ever owned. Give the delta grip a try. It looks ridiculous, but I can shoot +p all day long with it.

There are literally dozens of great 9mms on the market. You didn't state your intended use.
Check out an H&K VP9SK if you can. I like the 13 round mag the best.
