Wheel question.

I just picked up my 1st 4runner, a 2000 SR5 4wd 5speed. I am wanting to put on a new set of wheels and eventually lift it. It just had a new set of michelins put on it by the previous owner but i am wanting to put black rims on it and widen the stance. Right now i am looking at the Fuel Boost with 16x8 with +01 offset. Would these stick out some? Thanks

Welcome! These wheel/tire questions come up over and over again, but one way to start is to first ensure you know exactly what your stock specs are on size, backspace, and offset. Next, there is a very handy tool at Rims-n-Tires. It won't predict interference but its a great place to get a feel for the placement and offset.
Maybe some 3rd Gen guys will pipe up but you can also search for something like "3rd Gen wheel size options"... Good Luck!

By the way, Michelins are usually pretty expensive so you might want to either wear them out first or at least make sure you get a good value if you decide to trade or sell them....

I plan on just getting 16in rims and wearing these tires out before i lift. Sorry about posting another thread asking this question. Just new to the site and learning how to search and stuff

Best place to ask is the forum. That's what it is here for. Ask away. I went with 16" x 8.5" wheels with a -25 mm offset. It put my backspace at 3.75". They sit really nice and gave me the option of putting 285 75 16 tires on. Look at my thread in my signature. I can send you a link to the wheels.

17x9 fuel boost -12 offset with 4.5 back spacing and 1.25 wheels pacers
