When will the Bilstein 6112 be released?

I absolutely can not offer an apples to apples comparison, but am a "little" disappointed but only as far as nose dive under braking. Not a lot, but a little. The 6112/5160s on stock springs DO have more nose dive than the FJ with the 5100s and stock springs. Again, not apples to apples by a shot. However, I'd figured with the "reduced" rear end of the FJ that it might be a wash. That's about the only complaint though... other than 6112 boots (or lack there of) that is :peep:

Any news from Bilstein as to the discrepancies between advertised lift and "real world" actual??

Or, a phone number of the contact at Bilstein?

6112

Hi guys. I have a set of 5100s for all four sides but I am now considering the 6112s. For those of you that have installed it, how does it compare to stock or 5100s? Any issues with the thicker shocks and springs as far as rubbing or interfering with KDSS for those of you that have it.

Basically seeing if I should get 6112s and return the 5100s. I would prefer a softer ride as far a bumps go. Not sure about this but I am assuming that even with softer suspension my KDSS will compensate for some
of that when cornering on hard top. Can anyone confirm this?

Your feedback is much appreciated!

Okay guys, looks like I'll will be installing these bad boys tomorrow. I've been debating whether to go 2" or 2.5" setting with the SAW 1.5" coils for some times now. I was looking for a subtle look and lift and minimize any addition mods like UCA or a differential drop, etc. A 2" F and 1.5" R was the rake I was looking for as we'll. Unfortunately the 1.5 SAW may sit higher then advertised. I'm leaning towards the 2.5" lift now. Is it safe to say that the 2.5" is the max lift before introducing potential needs for uca, differential drops, and any other issues and wear? 2.5" and call it a day? Or play it safe and set at 2" lift?

My 5160 and SAW 1.5 have settled since install. Ended up with 2" lift.
The fronts are pretty much the same at 2.5" lift at the 4th groove.

Good luck and if you need any phone support, don't hesitate to call me.

Finally got it install. I'm on the 4th setting.
2.5" front and I'm actually getting close to 1.5" rear with the SAW

...and it looks great. Should have plenty down travel left. However, what do you think about the ride? I'm always function over form!

Hard to tell at the moment but my initial feedback is it a little more comfortable and plushness overall. Feels closer to when I had the P-metric tires at 32psi. As for the nose dive, it's about the same, maybe a tad more if any. I actually notice more body roll on high speed and moderate speed side to side compare to my Xreas. Still need to get an alignment and put a few thousand miles to have a better comparison

Hi,
I'm new to this site I have 2015 4Runner sr5 4x2 and a 2008 tundra crewmax limited 4x2. I bought a set of bilstein 6112 last week for both vehicle and decide to lift the 4Runner first. I set it on second setting circlip hoping for 1.7 inches of lift like some people said they got it from the second setting and I end up getting 2.2 inches of lift. I measure the vehicle before I install the shock and the rear was exactly 2 inches higher than the front. Hopefully it will settle down a bit but I doubt it. Anyone know how much lift I will get if I drop it down to the first setting?

Yes that's after the alignment.. My alignment guy can't get it back to factory spec or within Toyota spec.. He said I have some camber because is higher than stock. Guess I need to pay them to put it back to lowest setting.. Could any of you guy get the alignment back to factory spec or within ? This is on factory uca, wheels and tires..

talk to rhino about the alignment at 1.75"
I'm at the 4th setting at 2.5" This was the best they could do on the cast with the factory UCA.
