Which stock rim would give me the best offset to get rid of spidertrax?

I want to remove my 1.25 inch spidertrax and ready to buy a set of stock trail edition rims. Anyone know which have the better offset for pushing the wheels out? I have the FJ sprintg and Bilstien shocks running 265/70/R17's with the spidertrax which I want gone. Here are pics of the 2 rims I am trying to decide on, please reply with the color of the truck in the pics and a big thanks ahead of time.

Mine is the last truck and just running FJ springs all around with the Bilestien 5100's set to level it out. I trimmed the plastic to fix the rub so curious if I would get more rub and how much difference the offset would be between running the spidertrax as opposed to one of these trail edition rims without the spacers. I like the wheels on the silver truck and the seller said the offset is +15. Any help and advice is appreciated, plan on sticking with my ciurrrnt suspension...

Both versions of the trail wheels are 17x7.5 with +15 offset.

Here is my previous truck with the 2014+ trail wheels, 265/70/17 tires, and no spacers.

Yes, both of those TE wheels have 4.5" of backspacing vs. 5.25" that the sport edition wheels have. However, the TRD PRO wheels have 4" of backspacing which would put the wheel exactly where it is with your current setup. I run the later TE wheels on my 4th gen with 255/80/17 ST Maxx and I'm happy with it. I may switch to TRDP wheels at some point though.

As far as I know, all the 17" FJ wheels and 5th gen wheels share the same offset of +15mm. The limited and TRD pro wheels are both slightly different, but don't recall offhand what they are.

I'm running FJ wheels, 15mm offset gives 0.6" over stock. Here's what that 15mm offset looks like. Not quite flush, but close.

Looks good, which style of the TE rims are you running? Like to see a picture ehere ai csn see the rims but looks great. I like the stance that I have nowmbut really hate worrying about the wheel spacers...

Sorry, I'm running the FJ wheels, but identical specs to the TE wheels.
(17*7.5, +15mm)

You could look at new wheels, Level8 MK6 are a decent price usually and are comparable to Spidertrax in wheel offset

If you want OEM, the TRD Pros have a 4mm offset, but are a narrower wheel at 7" vs 7.5" That would push the wheel out slightly further I believe

I like the FN fx pro wheels. The offset makes the wheels stick out a fraction more than spydertrax.

This is the exact topic I was looking for. My 17" SR5 wheels are just too narrow with having a lift. I've gone back and forth with getting spacers or not. Ideally I'd like just a wider or better offset OEM wheel that would give her a better stance. FJ wheels appear to be the best for that.

Current set-up looks sweet!

Leave it as is.

Thanks man I appreciate it, I really like the stance alot but would like to eliminate that extra point of failure. As much as I would like to lift it more I am yet to find a valid reason to justify it. It gets me everywhere I need to go offroad and it drives really well on the road even with the Duratracs. That V8 takes the steep hills on the highwah heading north at 85-90 no problem. I was actively searching for well over a year and a half. I was set on getting a lighter color with the V6 l, 4WD and under 50,000 miles. This one came up at a BMW dealer and I figured I would go check it out and drive the V8 AWD to so see how I like it. It was the cleanest truck I came across in 2 years of patiently waiting. To top it off it was way overpriced but I went down anyways. I was Instantly hooked on the V8 and the color was nice and the paint was in excellent shape with a few minor blemishes. The AWD was a concern but I was pleasantly surprised on how well it handled and took corners at higher speeds. Honestly I can't imagine not having it now. Its great both on the road and off other then the fact that I can't do donuts anymore..LMFAO!! The downsides was that I knew right away that there was money that I was going to have to spend right out the gate. The Xreas was leaking but I already knew I was going the FJ springs route with the Bilstien adjustable shocks to get a small lift and to level it out. The brakes were way warped all the way around and I instantly felt the imfamous drive shaft thunk. Add the fact that it had 67,000 miles so I knew I was going to have the timing belt coming up. And it was WAY over priced at the BMW dealer. I figured I could get the price down due to the issues but they wouldn't budge on the price much at all. I finally decided that this was the one and someone is going to pay to much for it so it might as well be me. Its was the best "terrible" financial decision I ever made. After getting robbed at the dealer I bought brand new FJ coils, bilstein shocks all around, wheel spacers, duratracs, new bearing\hub assemblies up front, rotors and pads all around and just did the the timing belt\waterpump. At 113,000 miles its rides like its brand new and I couldn't imagine driving anything else. A big fan of the 3rd and 4th generations and just can't get into the 5th generation no matter how much I try so I plan on keeping this one for ever. I now work from home to so it sits in my garage alot and gets very little miles each month now. I take it to the store once in awhile and on the weekends it takes me to the remote hikes that I couldn't get to otherwise so pretty happy with it. Still to do is tint, going to replace the drive shaft so I don't have to lub it every 2-3k likes and thinking about an exhaust system. I will do the TRD Pro rims to get rid of the wheel spacers..

IMHO, those OEM sport edition 17" wheels are some of the best looking wheels Toyota has ever produced. It's too bad they had such deep backspacing. I had a set once and really liked them other than the backspacing and I'm not a fan of spacers either.

I am in the same boat OP... I want to increase the track a bit but dont want to use spacers...

Im running the OEM rims from a 2004 SR5 4x4 v6. I have 16s but not sure how wide the stock rims are and what the backspace/offset values are?

Seems like a lot of the time are 17" in size... Im trying to keep as much sidewall as possible, any good options for 16" rims?

I agree and bummed that they won't cut it for me. They are all over Craiglist at 300-400 for a set but have to get something that I can rid myself of the spacers...:/

Look for wheels off of an FJ. They all have about 4.5" of backspacing. Also, 1st gen Tacoma wheels have about 4.5" IIRC.

Ok after re-reading your post I get what your saying. And yes I don't mind the look of my SE rims at all, in fact I love the way my truck looks with them. I just want the spacers to go away. The truck is riding as smooth as ever but mentally I just want them gone...LOL!! I already put this idea to bed until I burn through the Duratracs. With me working from home that should give me plenty of time...LOL!!!
